Subject: So sad. Like the statements above, I, too, cry when there's a 'missing man fly over', the 21-gun salutes, and, TAPS, wether on the TV or otherwise. I don't think we show enough gratitude to our service men and women for ALL they do for us and our nation.
In reply to: Valerie 's message, "This was posted on Facebook by my 25 yr old adopted son. "I'm not saying my naval career thus far has been overly difficult. In fact, as compared to other salty vets, I've had it pretty easy. But I can tell you, with 100% certainty, I faced my most difficult challenge today: taking a knee in front of a bereaved widow and reciting the following phrase "On behalf of the President of the United States, the United States Navy, and a grateful nation, please accept this flag as a symbol of appreciation for your loved one's faithful and honorable service."" on 05:24:30 11/02/12 Fri
