Subject: My Dad bring the Christmas tree home on Christmas eve and the family would decorate it. Then we would go to Midnight Mass. Getting up early to see what Santa brought us. Nothing was wrapped like they do today. Just all the toys and things under the tree with little cards with our names on them. One year there were 4 Bikes. I have 3 older brothers. Most of the time the presents came half way into the living room. My Dad was a trucker driver and my Mom a housewife, but we had a wonderful childhood and life. Thank you God.

[> Christmas always meant going from home to home in the family and having lots of laughter, stories, entertainment from all the 'hams' in the family -- beginning with the big, goofy uncle who thought he could sing like Frank Sinatra, to each child highlighting their own talent (me -- playing the accordian -- lol!) like joke-telling, singing a song, tap dancing, playing their instrument (we wondered why there were cotton balls handed out to the adults), etc. inside -- mj, 10:13:43 12/07/11 Wed [1]

There were always loads of food and show-and-tell of favorite gifts. We also didn't have much money, but we always seemed to have MORE than too much of gifts! I miss my Dad and Mom SO much!
