Subject: Christmas always meant going from home to home in the family and having lots of laughter, stories, entertainment from all the 'hams' in the family -- beginning with the big, goofy uncle who thought he could sing like Frank Sinatra, to each child highlighting their own talent (me -- playing the accordian -- lol!) like joke-telling, singing a song, tap dancing, playing their instrument (we wondered why there were cotton balls handed out to the adults), etc. inside

There were always loads of food and show-and-tell of favorite gifts. We also didn't have much money, but we always seemed to have MORE than too much of gifts! I miss my Dad and Mom SO much!

[> When I was young we got like one "main" gift usually a doll for me and some socks one year I got knitiing needles and ayrn and was tickled to get it. We always had stockings with candies, candy cane an apple and an orange. We thought we were very lucky to get it. My dad was 52 when I was born and had a major semi truck accident when I was 4-5 so times were tough but we didnt know it.
