Subject: When I was young we got like one "main" gift usually a doll for me and some socks one year I got knitiing needles and ayrn and was tickled to get it. We always had stockings with candies, candy cane an apple and an orange. We thought we were very lucky to get it. My dad was 52 when I was born and had a major semi truck accident when I was 4-5 so times were tough but we didnt know it. Christmas is so hard nowadays with all the electronics and stuff.

[> By the time I came along, my brothers were older and growing out of the Santa phase. We would go to church on Christmas Eve, and then my parents would drop one or more of the brothers off at the house while we took a ride to "look at the lights". When we got home, Santa would have been there. My parents' explanation was that since he had to go all over the world, he had to start SOMEWHERE and he knew we'd be at church. Our family then opened all the presents and celebrated Christmas Eve. Christmas Day was rather low key. -- TH, 17:26:44 12/07/11 Wed [1]
