Subject: Question about recent football calls by ref's.

I am curious about how people feel about the recent rule changes in the NFL. It's hard to understand the calls made by the ref's anymore. James Harrison of the Steelers has been called for almost every play he has made this season and fined $125,000 so far this year. It has made him question whether he wants to stay in as a player. Then, there was this past Sunday's game between teh Ravens and Steelers.

I know that some people may feel that Ben deserves a broken nose, but not the way it happened on Sunday. The guy who hit him in the face wasn't called on it until yesterday. Yes, he was fined $12,000 but no penalty given. The most blatent missed call was the helmet to helmet hit against Heath Miller. My husband yelled to me from another room that they broke Miller's neck. It was so terrifying to see him laying on the ground motionless. Yet, again there was no penalty. Yes, the player who did it was fined $40,000 but, where was the penalty?

James Harrison has stated that the NFL has double standards and this is one of the best examples of that. Maybe they should start to fine the refs for not calling penalties like these two.

Oh, yes, Heath Miller had a concussion and Ben did play with his broken nose and we STILL beat the Ravens:)

Sorry, I had to get that one in!

So, how does everyone else feel?
