I do find it disturbing that the intent of all of our many laws may be good, but the outcomes often "cut both ways" and sometimes even harm more than they help.
Public could lose a good officer perhaps in this case. I will think no less of his image.
I wish what you say is true that justice is meted out impartially to all persons and is just easy as pie with no gray areas, but we both know this is rarely true. Are you a prosecutor? LOL?
