 Dan lawfully demanded again and again they revisit his perceived rights and needs as a father. He felt so ignored by the process that he found himself writing/yelling harsher and louder and repeating himself over and over. They were unwilling to deal with this lawful citizens problems.
Then Dan "reached out" more to get a response ...tweaking them, and insulting them to respond in any meaningful manner. He surely resented the way they just carried on ignoring his entreaties while his life was in shambles. The system could frustrate anyone. By onlookers, the custody may have followed the law, but still he was treated like toxic waste instead of being treated and approached as a lawful citizen..
Sometimes the system just doesn't give a damn. It may be efficient to send complainers to jail, but no something I thought we had to worry about here in the US.
