The Brewington story has struck a personal chord with you, YoY. But consider this- the ex-wife ALSO has issues that involved seeing a mental health professional. She appears to have sought some help- but that help is apparently not on-going. Her testimony in court highlighted one of her mental health issues quite obviously. This is an issue that will affect child rearing and self esteem.
Getting beyond their personal issues- then points us to the court's personal issues. Look at the attorneys, the judge in the custody case, the evaluators, and so on.Then we add in a prosecutor who just can't see past his own animosity towards Brewington.
I feel sorriest for the two little girls. Mom doesn't want to share them with their Dad- on any level. She and her lawyer have stirred the pot quite well, behind the scenes. Both parents need counseling regarding their communication skills and mental health issues. They are still lashing out after 2 years- and all of this could have been avoided with a reasonable visitation schedule for Dad and reasonable court fees. Punitive measures there only escalated the frustrations of both sides. Now look at the mess it created. IMHO
