(She watched him with a mixture of amusement and annoyance as he reached over and took the beer from her, her brow furrowing a little as she let out a huff of frustration. Darlin'? Was he serious?) Mmm.. Smart boy can subtract. I'm proud of you, really I am.. but you really don't have to father me. (She retorted, taking the can of soda from him with a murmured thanks.. sure they were tossing back and forth but that didn't mean she had to be rude. She shifted over on the counter to give him more room as he laid stuff out for their meal, reaching over to pick up a slice of cheese off the pile and folding it in fourths before taking a small bite off it. Her brows rose at his offer and she had to admit that she was speechless for a moment.. he would really do that for her? She had always aspired to go to college, she wanted to work in law enforcement..) I.. uhm.. don't know what to say. (She looked down at the top of her can of soda, obviously taken aback at the fact that he would so quickly jump on the bandwagon of being her guardian and do something so kind as to offer to pay for her college. Regardless of whether or not the money came out of his pocket, he had still worked for years to earn that tuition. It actually touched her.. possibly because it was exactly the sort of thing that Keegan would have done for her.)
