Subject: Well, I haven't seen all of The Shrink is In (mostly just DJE's parts), but I seem to remember from past discussions that the movie was really kind of a farce and not to be taken seriously. So, I'd say that in the context of the movie and its intentions, it was not gratuitous.
In reply to: mj 's message, "I must correct myself --- perhaps DJE's little stint in "The Shrink Is In' was a bit gratuitious. I never saw the movie - only the clips from these sites, so I can't say, for sure. It smacks of Coutrney Cox just wanting to check him out, though. Am I being unfair?" on 08:51:07 04/02/10 Fri

[> [> [> [> [> [> The movie is not very well-constructed. It is okay up until the point DJE's character quits going to "the shrink" (Courteney Cox). After that, it's just one embarrassing moment after another. Horrible. The "farce" wasn't really the story line, but that Courteney and David Arquette (just recently married at the time) could make a rom-com with themsleves as the romantic interests. -- The Chief, 12:53:22 04/03/10 Sat [1]
