There is a lot of lore in Ireland concerning the characters of the Unseelie (although they go by a different term). He could be very old and very well read / good at listening to oral stories. I think that he's somehow more-than-mere-human would be a good guess. Don't forget, he's most likely also cursed as he tells Mac in the teaser that someone's already damned him right before he kisses her. In reply to:
