Subject: That is what I have done as well - we usually get a sweatshirt or tshirt with the logo. But if you want something more"lasting" (they grow out of sweatshirts after all) there are other options (see inside)
In reply to: MW Mom 's message, "My 13 yo ds is competing at worlds for the 1st time. I'd like to get him a small gift to remember the occasion - he's not expected to recall but I want him to know how proud we are. Ideas??" on 19:15:15 03/15/09 Sun

but it will depend on what your interpretion of "small gift" is.

YOu could get a new ipod - the smaller ones are not so expensive (although I still consider them a bigger gift) and get the back engraved with his name and "Worlds 2009".

Or maybe one of the snazzy aluminum water bottles I have seen and get that engraved (that would be one of a kind - if he does water bottles, it would be something he would use a lot).

If he doesn't have a digital camera, that would be something else that would be great to have (especially if he will be traveling to majors in the future).

Or, if he wears cuff links with his dance shirt, maybe a new really cool pair of cuff links to commemorate the occasion?

Just some thoughts.
