ahh yes, HFM is a constant scourge of daycares. they had a recent outbreak at our place but it's pretty much the least scary common disease so not much was done to address it. pretty much, you get bumps on your face around your mouth, sometimes in your mouth and sometimes on your hand and feet. throw in a really mild fever for 2 days and that's it. just wait for the norovirus to get going. that's when things are fun.

heaves, fluenz (aka euro flumist) is only approved for people aged 2-17 (for some gay reason). hopefully the label is expanded to cover up to 49 like the rest of the world sometime in the near future. we'll see.

work has been nuts down here as well. one attorney from our north american business group (my group) was shown the door last week. this was followed up by one of the former head attorneys from medi (he moved to the business development group a few years back) being tossed. then today, the head of the specialty business unit (the head of the medi commercial group) + the medi head of hr and the medi head of finance were tossed with very short notice. my job is safe, it's more of a house cleaning of certain people but still. FUN TIMES!
