This puzzler on the eighth-grade reading exam stumped even educators and has critics saying the tests, which are becoming more high stakes, are flawed.

In the story, an apparent take-off on Aesop’s fable about the tortoise and the hare, a talking pineapple challenges a hare to a race. The other animals wager on the immobile pineapple winning — and ponder whether it’s tricking them.

When the pineapple fails to move at all and the rabbit wins, the animals dine on the pineapple.

Students were asked two perplexing questions: why did the animals eat the talking fruit, and which animal was wisest?

Bleh. It's not quite where I want it to be yet. I'm waiting until the next xbox (Fall 2013) to splurge on that. I got the games that I did because Super Mario Galaxy 2 is ranked #1 of all time wii games and Zelda is ranked #6, and they will eat up a lot of hours.

Tomorrow Mom and Pops come down for the day/night. And Sunday we have another open house, which are getting old really fast.

i took my car in for its 25k mile service yesterday. man, does my bunghole hurt. tires are expensive.

also met with a landscaping dude to see about having a patio put in at the casa. should get an idea of what we can/can't do in a few days.

weekend plans are:
tonight - say goodbye (forever) to heaves.
tomorrow - housewarming party for one of caruso's teacher friends (maybe)
sunday - nothing

I encourage (and beg) you all to get the vonage app for the iphone (hopefully on android too?) which allows free texts and calls anywhere in the entire world! I'll be using skype too. Don't be shy with staying in touch.

Sorry guys! I should be giving more updates since it's an interesting transition in my life.

Work is pretty much done and it feels oh so good. I wrapped things up yesterday, and I expect to handle emails an hour per day here on out to make sure things are covered. I'm "working from home" today while handling all sorts of admin matters for the move. I'm about to make some lunch, do some packing, and then head to the gym. Tomorrow, I have a medical exam from a life insurance guy. 500k goes to Kate in my death; 250k goes to me if Kate eats it. That will be my morning. At some point, I'll go to the office to shoot the shit before my going away party. I also need to go in to scan some documents that the Germans need.

Yesterday I went to a podiatrist because I've been having feet problems (obviously). I concluded I'm falling apart. I have plantar faciitus, which also caused the following: pinched nerves at the toes, shin splints, a sore achilles tendon and bad knees. All should correct themselves in time. They gave me some cheaper version orthopedic inserts for my shoes, which already seem to be helping. It's either that or the injection of cordizone that went into my toes. That stuff is great!

The house is still on the market and is seriously stressing me out. We are getting close to an offer with someone, but they want to do an "offer for deed" where I essentially become her mortgagee/financier. I'm not sure if I like that, but I will reserve full judgement until I see the offer and all her financials. At the very least, it will make for a good laugh. But seriously people, buy my house!

We are a week or two away from listing the house for rent too. Blarg. I guess it wouldn't be the worse thing in the world. There's lots of military folk around.

So far I have booked the following for future Oktoberfests:
2012: Joe and Vic
2013: Lukey and Nate and maybe Art

Slots are filling up quick, you guys! We hope to land a 3 bedroom apartment in/near center city. My work should be about 4-8 metro stops away depending on where we settle. My hotel for the first 2 months is 4 stops from work ~ 10 minutes out.

Don't worry about missing the party, Joe. I hope to be back in July for one last go around at the Philly bars. Turlets are meant for pooping in, nothing else. Gotta remember that!

We are eating at Chilis next Friday night or next Saturday. Probably next Friday so I have time to poop it out before my flight on that Sunday. Book it!

Heading to pack now.

Flyers v. Pens tonight.

The NHL playoffs have been full of brutal hits so far. Someone may get paralyzed or die before the Stanley Cup gets awarded. As much as the NFL is taking violence out of the game, the NHL seems to turning a blind eye toward it. On the vicious Hossa hit last night, a penalty was not even called.

Fantasy baseball is off to a great start. So far the Units are off to a 1-0 start this young season.

The fantasy movie draft will be held on April 30th or May 1st. Stay tuned. I will clean up the rules too.

vert, i'm sure you and bok took your subway duties very seriously but that's probably because you both ate a ton of the food you were working with. science has shown* that most of the mouth breathers employed by jared's empire couldn't care less about whether or not they remember to follow refrigeration policy or flip the meat/cheese so that the oldest slices make their way to the top of the bin. also, around here, they aren't selling tacos so the employees have no interest in eating what they serve so the extra incentive to love/keep the food fresh is not there.

jono, caruso is ready for the spawn child to emerge. she's quite uncomfortable at night but doesn't really feel much during the day when she's working. i say she should work up (and through, if necessary) her due date to help keep her (somewhat) sane but she's probably going to stop a week before. everything is set at the house. we had all the furniture and gizmos assembled weeks ago (it's the only part of pregnancy i've enjoyed to be honest). the biggest thing to overcome is the whole act of pooping out the kid (duh). caruso is scared of receiving an epi (i think this is retarded and she'll be begging for it once her loins start turning inside out) but i've been trying to talk her through it. i'm (honestly) numb to the entire situation. maybe something will change on emergence day but who knows? i have been set on never having kids for a looooong time so this is a bit of a shock (still). so, to answer your question: caruso is excited; i'm meh.

I confessed to Lukey today that you did have the best team. Not needing to ego stroke, but you did still put up one of the highest weekly totals in the championship with and injured Howard in your starting lineup.

Vic's team was dominant, but some of that was early season overachieving.

My team and Maurer's we just all around solid.

Joe's team was poo.

How are you guys feeling these days? Excited? Apprehensive? Nervous? It's like, so close, dude. The Conways are excited for you guys.

Amy is suddenly in new baby mode so I'm having to put together new furniture (to see if it fits/works, which begs the question, "why did you buy it w/o knowing these things?"), paint a room, re-model another bathroom, etc. The worst.

It's worth a mention (mostly for Lukey) that my fantasy basketball team was clearly the best all along, like I said numerous times. I am the champ.

Jono knows better because he watches Hockey to some degree and can agree with me that it most likely will be a 1994 Stanley Cup outcome again, sans Vancouver. I wasn't trash talking; I don't think the Flyers will get to the finals either. I'd love for them to, but I just don't see it.

As far as "No-brainer" goes; anyone who would want to wait till a hockey players next devastating hit for them to retire, is, in my opinion, ignorant and a bit selfish (again, my opinion). The guy is a phenomenal player; we all know this. I would just like to see him retire and life as close to a normal life as possible and not just have the mentality of "I don't give a shit about his health, we need a cup up here brotha!!!".

It's still a long series, Jono. May the best team win.

I don't have a good answer. I think he'll play until he has another one and then he'll probably retire. Although, he could hang it up now and be fine with his Stanley Cup and Gold Medal and go on living a healthy life. The good news is that he likely won't end up like Pronger or Lindross or anyone of the those guys from the 90s and before because so much more attention and care and caution is put into head injuries/concussions b/c even if he keeps playing after another concussion, he'll likely go through the necessary down time, medical procedures to make sure everything is OK before proceeding.

On a somewhat related note but IN NO WAY A FORM OF TRASH TALKING, I wanted your opinion on Crosby and if he should retire after this season. He has sustained a few concussions, and he is more prone to them than others (like Lindros was). There are a lot of concerns about his long term well-being if he gets another devastating hit again, and the after-effects of early retirement due to too many concussions and PCS is always seen and discussed (Keith Primeau can NEVER attend another live hockey game again because the noise gives him massive migraines as a result of his PCS).

Again, THIS IS NOT TRASH TALKING. I am looking for an honest opinion.

Not much news from Conwayland. Had a fine weekend at the in-laws that involved plenty of Masters watching and Easter stuff with Will and his cousins. Luckily, we shot out of there early enough on Sunday to make it home to see the last few hours of golf. Good times.

I hate Dwight Howard.

Vic - I checked your e-mail after I sent you the money. I am the new Stone. *Sigh*. I will send you the money on principal alone. A Lannister always pays his debts.

This past weekend was spent taking care of Rena. She had a bad case of the flu and was bed-ridden all weekend with a fever that was at one point almost 104. Guess what helped me relieve me stress? Her stepfather calling me telling me that he and her mother are concerned and wanted to make sure that she was being taken care of and what I should do to help her. Awesome.

I am in Houston with customers on a factory tour and will be back on Thursday. My weekend involves Golf and celebrating Rena's mother's B-day.

In other news, I may be going to Amsterdam in June for business. The trip would be 5 days, and would basically involve a lot of wining and dining with business talk in between. The only thing that would suck balls is if I couldn't go because the dates conflict with two weddings I have to go to during that month.

Kate and I did some dinners on Friday and Saturday evening. They were both good. The first was at my favorite Chinese restaurant, Sichuan Pavillion. The second was at a Wolfgang Puck restaurant, The Source. The Source was good but was it $16 per drink and $40+ per plate good? Probably not.

The rest of the weekend was spent cleaning and packing. I hope to have everything I'll be taking with me on the first leg to Munich set aside this coming Saturday. The movers will come pick my shiz up April 23 and air freight it over so it's there when I arrive on April 30.

If anyone is interested in dinner at Chilis before I go, let me know. That is on my pre-move bucket list. Gotta have it one more time.

We have someone intersted in the house, but they want to do a rent-to-own. This can be ideal as long as the person has a good credit background, etc., and will put up enough upfront to give us some security in the deal. We met her last night. She was nice enough, but didn't seem very smart. Her agent is supposed to be contacting me today with details on the offer. It should be interesting. I'm not getting my hopes up.

This past weekend, I recovered after going out hard on Wednesday (quizzo) and Thursday (brews and bowties). Caught up on the DVR on Friday night.

On Saturday, I did work for most of the day. Met up with the family for dinner at a BYOB in Lambertville, NJ (Lilly's - nothing great, wouldn't go back).

On Sunday, we went over to NJ for Easter at my aunt's. Watched a bunch of Phillies (sad) and Masters. Happy for Bubba. Mad that Phil shit himself so early.

That brings us to today. I am golfing this weekend (always fun) and going to the Phillies on Friday night and Saturday. Good times ahead. I need a few days before the weekend because I am still resting up from a weekend that was full of work.

Watched Ghost Rider 2 (terrible) and Hunger Games (more like Hunger Lames). I had to turn Immortals off after 20 minutes (unwatchable). Pass on all of these.

i have returned from vacation.

the trip went well although traffic on saturday was a bit of a pain in the ass, especially 95 south of dc. whatevz. the shore weather was good for the first day and then got cold and windy (30/40 mph all day). because of this, we didn't do some of the things the ladies wanted to do (aka lame things) and we did more things the guys wanted to do (aka awesome things involving booze). the actual house itself was a very nice 3 story beach house with its own pool, hot tub, and tiki bar. it was also designed to sway in the wind so it felt like a constant earthquake inside. that was fun. also, the lost colony on roanoke island is shit. there is nothing there except a recreated dirt mound. fun. avoid at all costs

yesterday, i stained and assembled some patio furniture while caruso weeded and mowed the back yard. watched the end of the masters (go bubba) and crashed after game of thrones/eastbound and down.

fin.

I saw what happened to Pat on Twitter; I am glad that he is OK.

Vail was awesome. I actually have never gone skiing (except for once with you guys) or snowboarding so I figured I would try both. I am sticking with skiing at this point, as the board and I did not get along at all. The overall trip was a lot of fun, but there were some SNAFU's during the trip:

SNAFU #1 - Rena forgot her wallet and didn't realize it till we got to the airport. Naturally, she was in absolute tears. We managed to have security call Washington and have her confirm her identity so that we could get on the flight. She felt bad during the whole flight (embarrassed, obviously), even after I bought her a small stuffed bunny to try and cheer her up. She had her ID Fedex'ed to her so that we wouldn't run into the issue again.

SNAFU #2 - We rented a Ford Expedition for a rental, and about 20 miles from the airport on the way home, one of the belts snaps right off and we were forced to pull over with a defunct car. When I called the rental place, they told me that they couldn't get someone to either tow the car or pick us up for 2 hours, which would have put us past our departure time. As a result, I told the them that we obviously weren't going to miss our flights because their shitty truck didn't work, and we were more than happy to grab cabs and leave the rental on the side of the road. They actually recommended we do that (absolute hilarity), and we had cabs pick us up off the highway and left the car with the keys inside.

Other than those two incidents, it was a fun time. I would do Savor, but I have weddings almost every weekend in June. Fun times.

I saw Pat last night. He is really sore but otherwise OK. He is really shaken up about what happened. He needs to get over some survivor's guilt, etc. He keeps saying that he doesn't know how he is alive.

Here is from one of Pat's buddies that was sent out last night with everyone's condition.

Hello everybody,

I hate to send out a blast email, but I've been completely inundated with texts and calls today about the guys' conditions. I thought this would be the most appropriate way to update everyone on the latest.

I just got off the phone with Patrick McCarthy's brother and both Patrick and Matt Swinehart (the two that fared the worst in yesterday's crash) are in stable condition. While both of their pelvises are fractured, it sounds like Patrick will be the only one that will require extensive reconstructive surgery. The doctors have managed to control most of their internal bleeding and will hopefully begin Patrick's surgery in the next couple days.

Patrick Gushue was just released from the hospital today after having suffered a mild concussion. Unfortunately, Phil Carroll is still there with what looks to be a brain hemorrhage.

Jared was fortunate to walk away with only four stitches above his eye and two on his nose. He was the only one that was released from the hospital last night and is now back home in DC.

A lot of you have asked for the guys' room numbers, so that you can send a card, balloons, etc. I called the hospital and learned that while McCarthy and Matt are both in the ICU (and it's unclear as to how long they'll be there) they're only allowed to receive cards. Once they move out of the ICU, they will make sure your card or gift is redirected to the proper room. The address to the hospital along with all the guys' rooms are below:

Christiana Care
4755 Ogleton-Stanton Rd
Newark, DE 19718

Patrick McCarthy - 2A-23
Matt Swinehart - 4D-20
Phil Carroll - 2C-02

Lastly, I thought I'd share the most recent news story (with an incorrect name) on the incident. The pictures are pretty graphic and from the looks of their car's remains, it's a miracle that they're all still alive.

http://delonline.us/H4H48G

Thanks again for all your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. I know it means the world to all the guys and their families.

Best,
Dave

Thanks Tony. I figured my current company /could/ monitor emails if they wanted to but don't, but I know my future company will be doing this (or has permission to). I had opt in/out of this. If I opted out of this monitoring, then my web access would be restricted significantly. But from what you told me, it'll probably be too risky to run gtalk on my work computer. Most people use iPhones over there (T-mobile is the iPhone carrier), and mine has already been ordered through the company (at least I get my phone and plan paid for). The iphone has some apps that link into gtalk. It also has the free Vonage app that will allow you to text/talk for free with anyone in the world that has and is using the Vonage app (you all should get this). There's also Skype too. I'm trying to figure out the best, cheapest and most convenient ways to keep in touch.

Heaves, even your current company could figure out that you are running gtalk. If they monitored the processes on your computer then they would know. They could also technically monitor email traffic if they wanted to since they own the network. They are probably just monitoring installed programs since they are the ones that can do harm when you aren't logged in. When you are logged in then they know who is using the computer and have accountability.

If you are that concerned, get a phone that will host it and run it on there. Or set up an encrypted tunnel to a machine at home and remote connect to that machine (but I would think that this would be locked down as well).

Question: can IT determine that you are running the google talk application? Currently my firm does not allow gtalk. Many of us load the executable file on a thumb drive, then copy the .exe file onto our desktop, then run it from there. As far as I know, IT can't detect it. My question is related to going over to Germany and doing the same thing over there. They are a bit more strict on usage and thus tend to monitor things more closely. In fact, they are allowed to monitor personal email going in and out of their network. So my question is, if I was to pull the same trickery over there, what is the chance of being detected. I imagine if they really really wanted to find a certain type of traffic/packets they could... Just curious from the more IT savvy folks on the board.

So Saturday night Weary and a couple of friends went out to dinner for his bday. They went to a seafood place that had a some type raw bar/bar near the entrance. He said it was pretty crowded through most of the dinner. As they were paying the tab, one of the guys got up to go to the bathroom. As he passed the bar he noticed it had cleared out and there was a guy mopping up the floor. As he got closer the the bathroom he noticed brown foot prints and a distinct smell.

Apparently some dude violently crapped himself at the raw bar, stood up (some dook must have trickled down his leg) and left tracks to the bathroom.

Looks like I might be making an unplanned trip up to PA some time this week. I got some bad news yesterday that my cousin and his wife were in a horrific car accident. The wife died on scene and my cousin had surgery to close up wounds, but will be okay. From what I've been told, the gas pedal got stuck in acceleration. When attempts to slow down/downshift failed and because he knew he was coming up on an intersection, he was forced to throw the E-brake. The road they were on was in a wooded area. I don't know how fast they ended up going, but they ended up off the road and hitting the trees. There wasn't much left of the truck. My cousin wasn't wearing his seat belt and was thrown out of the truck, which is why he probably survived. I didn't know his wife very well, but I'm bummed nonetheless. Here's the link on the accident http://goo.gl/YUYyY

In more uplifting news, Tara is at the hospital which should end in the birth of a new niece/nephew.

Good trip, fellas.

This should have been posted 5 hours ago. It's been sitting in an open window and is in line with Jono's statement.

For Tony's BP a few of us went 'clubbing' and got bottle service. I know the group included Jono, Hafer and myself...maybe Vic, Lukey...Tony?

Jono almost hooking up was the best. She was certainly chubby.

I'm also packed & ready and having a beer before heading to the airport. Leaving in <3 hrs.

However, I will take pictures of members of the group talking to girls (that are not strippers) because it will be historic -- IT WILL BE THE FIRST TIME THAT ANYONE IN A GROUP TRIP TO VEGAS HAS EVER TALKED TO A WOMAN.

saturday. trip to heaves' place to pick up the camera followed by voyage to mt vernon. yup, it's olde timey. we were gone in an hour. then it was off to eamond's in old town alexandria for some really good fish and chips. it was awesome. we walked around a bit after and proceeded to head home in time to meet up with big gay frank (that is after picking up some shrubbery at home depot) who spent the night at our place.

sunday. went into dc so frank/caruso could go to the dc gay mens choir performance of rocky horror picture show. lukey, bok and i drank beer and watched bball (although we all wanted to go to the show instead). the day ended with me watching an episode of season 4 of the wire (season 4's intro song is the best version by far).

I'm pretty much done with both of the brackets I filled out this year. Bummer.

So far we've had about a dozen people look at our house. 2 last Thursday, 1 on Saturday, 9 at our open house yesterday, and 1 is coming today. Lot's of action! We got a call from one of the Turdsdays people yesterday saying they might be interested in an making an offer. We should know in a day or two about that one.

The Walking Dead was good. Finally an episode with high intensity throughout. The group is smaller now, which I love.

Joe's post didn't discuss specifics of the episode. I have not see it yet, so please either follow his approach with any posts, or please post *Spoiler* alert on your heading.

Speaking of approaches, Mr. Gushue and I played a lovely 9 holes of golf yesterday. The only problem is that we paid for and actually played 15 HOLES of golf. You see, two lesbian butch women, approached us around the 6-7th hole and asked if they could join us. As we were moving at a good pace and still saw them playing right behind us and staying pretty much on top of us, we figured that they could keep up, so we said "sure". About 2 holes in, we realized that this was the worst miscalculation of our lives. They were not only slow (and they tee'd off about 50 years PAST us on every hole), but one of the butch ladies was a C-U-N-T. The only fun we had after they joined was when me and him made fun of them whilst driving from one hole to the next. No lie, one of the ladies tried to Alpha Male Joey at one of the holes as he was removing the flag (She barked at him "She still needs that". "She" being her "partner"). To make matters worse, the foursome ahead of us had a lady in the group as well and THEY took forever too.

Long story short, we had to wait 10 minutes in between strokes and we went from averaging well to averaging HORRENDOUSLY, and we ditched the ladies and the game entirely.

Overall though, the weekend was pretty solid and Joe and I still managed to have a little fun when we played.

more info on why "uninfected" people are becoming zombies when they die...

According to CDC's Edwin Jenner in the TV series, a corpse can reanimate between three minutes and eight hours after death. Executive producer Glen Mazzara addressed why Shanem who was not bit, become a zombie in Better Angels, much faster than Amy: "We worked hard to make sure that revelation landed. We knew what we were doing there. We knew it would land a punch. We’ve never had a main character become a zombie to this extent. Those [rapid flashes of zombie mayhem] represent the storm in Shane’s brain to some extent...Amy was a weaker character. Shane is in a murderous rage … he’s going to reanimate quicker. There’s just more life in that zombie, believe it or not. We do have internal rules for that."[4]

Interestingly, during the second season of the TV series, as the group is stopped on the highway there are multiple dead and decayed bodies that have not reanimated. Kirkman states the reason for this is because the passengers all suffered brain trauma from the car crashes.

Holy crap, this weather is delicious. One nice thing about working on Capitol Hill is the abundance of college-aged interns that work here. They have definitely busted out their skimpy clothing this week (They are still in the work clothes and going out clothes being the same thing).

Unfortunately, the tourists and school groups have started showing up (I'm guessing thanks to spring break) and clogging up the metro. Also, my bus broke down on the way home from work last night. Thankfully, it was not too long before another bus picked us up. Of course it couldn't break down on my way into work ...

Friday involved dinner with the parents and then relaxing with a nice glass of Glenlivet 12 and some episodes of Top Gear. Saturday involved getting some work done and then celebrating Rena's father's b-day. The celebration was at her father's place, and ended with us watching videos of Rena and her sister when she was 3. Sunday involved some more work and then Rena and I enjoyed a nice lunch outside at the local park. Sunday ended by going to the Flyers/Devils game with Rena and some friends. Honestly, watching Schindler's List and holocaust footage on IMAX would've been better than that ABORTION of a game.

yes, what you heard is correct. despite the best efforts of 2 sonogram techs and the sonogram doctor, they were unable to provide clear and convincing evidence (the legal standard for child sexing... no sandusky) that the spawn child is definitely a girl. caruso's obgyn looked at the photos supplied by them and could not agree with their conclusion that we were having a girl. unfortunately, she is not saying they're wrong, only that, based on what's in front of her, she can't agree with their prognosis. we go back for the final sonogram in a few weeks. if we don't find out then, we find out day of. gay.

Two things of note about work:

1. The office is in an old, converted rowhouse on Pennsylvania Ave. on Capitol Hill. I wish my phone had a camera so I could take a picture of the men's bathroom. The door to the bathroom is a closet door at the end of a hallway with slits in it. The bathroom is very small. Along the wall, there are two, old-timey urinals that extend to the floor. Then there is a divider wall, behind which there is a toilet. This is not a stall, as there is no door. If you were sitting on said toilet, you could reach forward and easily touch the sink to the bathroom. It is very clean, but needless to say, I will never be pooping here.

2. The guy I work for looks and sounds like a slightly less fat version of Patton Oswald.

Sunday was spent heading to Princeton to check out Pottery Barn kids and look at bedroom furniture. On the way back we found a Wegman's that we didn't know existed. It's under 20 minutes from our house so Jen was beyond excited. Ended the night ironing shirts and watching Ax Men.

holy poop i hate daylight savings. seriously, it needs to die.

friday - caruso and mom picked up dinner from one of our local fine dining establishments which meant i got to chill for a bit all by myself. i watched the breneman commitment live and then joined the ladies before they headed off to bed at 8. big gay frank was spending the night at the house as well but he was out helping prepare for caruso's b-shower so he didn't get in until about 10 and quickly went to bed himself. this meant i got to watch oodles of bball and the wire.

saturday - my rents came down with my aunt, uncle and cousin. the men went to dogfish, the ladies went to the baby shower. 45 people attended the latter, heaves joined our group at the former. by the end, my uncle was hammered and hugged the waitress on our way out the door. this was at 430. we then went and helped clean up at said baby shower. we got oodles of stuff (3 suvs full) which was nice but also a bit overwhelming. we have another shower up in the lbg in 3 weeks which will officially put us over the top when it comes to having enough crap for the spawn child. after a quick r&r period at the house, we went out for dinner and ended up passing out shortly thereafter.

sunday - caruso got up early (even earlier thanks to dst) and drove her mom to the airport. i slept in a bit and met up with my family for brunch before they hit the road. then it was back to the house for a health load of nothing. later in the afternoon we tackled the loot from the previous day and by dinner time, had things pretty much sorted out. i ended the night with more wire.

This weekend was BAU. Went to a surprise 30th b-day party, which was fun but it gets harder and harder to drink heavily and then have to spend the entire next day having a kid around.

I also went shopping- mostly for Vegas, but also because I needed some new stuff- and, good lord, I am going to look delicious for this trip.

An insanely awesome 10 day stretch makes me pee-pee grow:
- Thursday, March Madness
- Friday, William gets tubes in his ears (this is very good news as it promises to greatly improve his health), then we're just off all day hanging with him and watching bball
- Saturday, St. Patrick's Day + March Madness
- Sunday, March Madness
- Tuesday, we find out the sex of the baby
- Wednesday thru Sunday, Vegas + March Madness

!!!!!!!!!!

i just bought 1,000 miles for $35. The site says it's $10 to transfer but then the charge a bogus "transfer fee" for another $25. So gay...

Anyway, I'm all good.

I had my first Aprihops of the year on Friday at a HH at the Perch Pub. 1/2 drafts. You cannot beat $3 DFHs. Then, I went home and watched some TV with the wife.

Saturday, Ali and Jen carpooled down to MD which left me with the car. I headed up to Limekiln and golfed with Humes and Lawlor. It was around 40 degrees so it was a bit cold. However, we were the only people on the entire golf course. We had the entire place to ourselves. They even had to open up the bar/food area for us. It was fantastic. We finished the round in 3 hours. Then, I hit a bar with Tom where there was a Firestone Walker tap takeover. Union Jack for the win. Saturday night, Ali and I watched more TV. I have a weakness for Smash.

Sunday, took it easy. KB, clean up around the house, and went to see Project X. Ali and I wanted something mindless. The movie sucked. Don't waste your time. Then, we went to a BYOB Italian place and came home and watched The Walking Dead (the show is decent again).

I'm 400 miles short of 25,000 miles. Does anyone have 1,000 miles they can spare (min transfer increment)? I'll cover the $10 transfer fee of course.
