I saw what happened to Pat on Twitter; I am glad that he is OK.

Vail was awesome. I actually have never gone skiing (except for once with you guys) or snowboarding so I figured I would try both. I am sticking with skiing at this point, as the board and I did not get along at all. The overall trip was a lot of fun, but there were some SNAFU's during the trip:

SNAFU #1 - Rena forgot her wallet and didn't realize it till we got to the airport. Naturally, she was in absolute tears. We managed to have security call Washington and have her confirm her identity so that we could get on the flight. She felt bad during the whole flight (embarrassed, obviously), even after I bought her a small stuffed bunny to try and cheer her up. She had her ID Fedex'ed to her so that we wouldn't run into the issue again.

SNAFU #2 - We rented a Ford Expedition for a rental, and about 20 miles from the airport on the way home, one of the belts snaps right off and we were forced to pull over with a defunct car. When I called the rental place, they told me that they couldn't get someone to either tow the car or pick us up for 2 hours, which would have put us past our departure time. As a result, I told the them that we obviously weren't going to miss our flights because their shitty truck didn't work, and we were more than happy to grab cabs and leave the rental on the side of the road. They actually recommended we do that (absolute hilarity), and we had cabs pick us up off the highway and left the car with the keys inside.

Other than those two incidents, it was a fun time. I would do Savor, but I have weddings almost every weekend in June. Fun times.
