You don't have to do all 5k all at once. You can spread it out over the year (for those that don't have 5k just lying around). Similar to your 401K...you have all year to put in 16500 or 17000 or whatever it is now. You can do this evenly per paycheck for the 401K, or technically with your last few paychecks, which would be plain stupid. Obviously for you it's about getting admiral status as quickly as possible and that makes sense. In sum, I'm going home now to start my wochenende.
