The google map app was finally released into the wild yesterday for the iPhone. It is superb. Get it.

Kate has been bored with her job lately. She's sick of it. So I told her to call in sick today...and she did! Being sick of work seemed to be a legit illness. Instead, she went out shopping at the Christmas markets. They are scattered all over the city in various town squares. They include outdoors gift shops, typical fair-type food, and Gluhwein (mulled wine) that is perfect for making a hangover.

The sun finally decided to show itself the last two days. We are still in sub-32 degree weather but the snow has finally stopped falling. I think it snowed off/on for 3 days but we were only left with about 7-8 inches of snow.

Things have been really slow at work. They definitely wind things down in December. I'm just trying to muddle my way through the next 3 working days and then hit the ground running in the new year. This will be my first vacation since forever that I won't have to even think about work. Can't wait!

I was invited to go duck hunting with Kate's uncle and the 3 in-law sons while we are in Louisiana. Me and my 12 gauge are going to be taking down some ducks!
