Sorry about my absence from the board; I have been working (and will be in the future) 7 days a week as a result of Sandy.

Needless to say, NJ is absolute devastation. There are still some places without power; gas is still limited in some (but far, far fewer) places, and people's homes are destroyed, gone, or in very bad shape. Our main tech guy has spent the last week sumping out water and gutting his house. He had his first shower YESTERDAY. I spent the entire week in PA, shuttling both myself and containers of gas to NJ to give to Rena's family members and friends. We worked from 6:30am to 1pm on Sunday; and I was talking orders for water heaters, boilers, etc. all day Saturday. We had people in absolute desparation coming to buy generators from us, which we sold CHEAPER than anyone else (HD, Lowes, etc.), not because we sold shit, but we didn't feel it was the time to rip people off (like Lowes, HD, etc.). We actually made deliveries for people that couldn't take the generators (too big for what vehicles they had that weren't washed away). One of my outside sales guys actually got a hug from a crying woman that thanked him for "saving them".

To make things worse, we have more weather coming, and some areas CANNOT afford it at this point. Needless to say, I have had zero time for the board during the day, and am too tired to bother at night. Frankly, I could give a shit about the election right now; I am too focused on trying to sift through the mayhem this is post-Sandy restoration.

Sales have been and will continue to be beyond boisterous, but goddamn what a mess.

This isn't political, but a fucking fact. Christie looked like a stud through this, and Bloomberg looked like he always does; a fucking douche.
