The toilets have two flusher buttons above them -- quick flush and full (i.e., mega) flush. Or, as I like to refer to them, #1 and #2 for reasons that should be obvious.

Now in my guest bathroom we have our water and electric gauges for reading out use above that toilet. I'm not sure if that's what you were referring to. But basically they do nothing of interest.

We like our apartment. It's 107 sq meters (~1100 square ft), which is only 400 ft less than our used-to-be house in Arlington. We do miss having closets big time though.
