I hope everyone has enjoyed their holiday weekend; I've done a whole bunch of nothing.

First, I have been super impressed with how BOB has handed the shit storm in which he has found himself. That being said, some thoughts on the PSU game:
- I think we would have won with a gameplan from the JoePa regime.
- We have very little depth to begin with, but those injuries to Belton and Morris, for whom we essentially have no backups, were brutal.
- Holy fuck, we have have a dearth of talent at the skill positions on offense. Belton played well, but he still plays more like a third down back rather than an every down back. We desperately need to recruit a top tier rb.
- I thought BOB called too many passes, especially when we were ahead. We were having success running the ball and the pass blocking was a little suspect.
- McGloin looks much more composed and doesn't scare me to death every time he is back to pass the ball (amazing what competent coaching can do); however, he is still a very limited qb.
- Our dline and lbs did not dominate like I had hoped. We definitely do not have a dominant dlineman on this year's squad to disrupt the line of scrimmage.
- The Ted Roof experience was, as predicted, an unmitigated disaster. If Tom Bradley had been our D Coordinator, we definitely would not have blown that 14-3 lead. I do not understand why we kept ineffectively blitzing, thus exposing the weakest unit on our team [the secondary], especially after losing Morris. It was sickening watching them go 93 yards in the 4th qtr. to go up 10 after we had them pinned on the 7.
- Having our most important defensive player, a 237 pound linebacker nonetheless, was one of the dumbest coaching decisions that I have ever witnessed in all my years of watching football. In not shocking news, it was an epic failure. If he continues to return kicks, I will be leading the "Although we can't fire him because of his guaranteed 9 year contract, I hope BOB gets fed up and returns to the NFL bandwagon." That made me miss the days the not having anyone coach special teams.
- I don't like the names on the jerseys and hope that it is just a 1 year thing. I am ok with it if the players really lobbied for their. If not, the decision to do so just really irritates me.
- Get that (required) B1G logo off the field and our jerseys - we don't even put our own logo at midfield.

Positives from Sat.: I got Weenie-Beenie before the game.

Did anyone watch the Posnanski interview with Costas this past week? I thought Posnanski was fair to PSU and JoePa. I will definitely read the book at some point.

Along with the lack of closets, another thing that I found to be weird in Europe was the lack of screens on windows.

Heaves, are you getting ready for Oktoberfest?
