It's a long and boring story, so I'l give you the elevator version.

I'm still on a pretty nice career track at my current employer, but there's been enough (crappy) changes over the past 2-3 years that it's not making me really excited to continue to build equity there. I could make decent amounts of money and be promoted more, and I'm on track to do that, but I really, really don't like what I'm doing (and what I would be doing going forward if I continue on this track). I really, really want to get into technical design engineering and work in that environment, and around here, Burns & Mac is the best place to do it. I applied for a few positions and then ended up calling me on something totally different. Had a phone interview a few weeks ago and then had the in-person yesterday. I assume they will call some references now. I will know more by the end of next week.

Tony, I was all set to buy this http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00752VKW8/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_1?ie=UTF8&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER (the 3D is not the selling point, it just seems to be attached to this particular TV, which has other features I like) but now I am reconsidering. I appreciate the extra research I will now have to do.
