I'm very happy for you, Jono! Congrats! It sounds like it worked out perfectly.

I'm also excited about some personal and meaningful mail. I'll keep an eye out.

Definitely something in writing for your notice, like Hafer said. HR will want something from you for their file as far as date of notice given and date of departure. The letter will take care of that. I walked in to my manager's office, handed him a letter of resignation, and we discussed what was going on. He then forwarded the letter to HR and circulated it to the necessary peoples (the partners). Enjoy the last mindless, carefree 2.5 weeks!
