Date Posted: 17:51:44 06/18/12 Mon Wednesday Jefe arrives and we head to Target Field around 530 for the Twins v. Phils. The stadium is built right downtown and it’s across the street from the Target Center. The pre-game bar atmosphere is pretty solid in the surrounding areas. Our seats were higher up along the third base line and had an amazing view of the skyline. Side note: (Twins fans are still pro-Thome. They cheered for him each time he was announced and even when he crushed a 467 ft. hr to dead center.) After the game we went over to a strip club called Seville that was literally across the street from the stadium. When I say literally, we are drinking $9 strip club beers within 5 minutes of Papelbon recording the final out in a 9-8 Phils victory. We chat with a few of the girls and notice that 75% of the girls have a) drop dead gorgeous faces b) sick bodies c) appropriately sized fake cans. Once girl who seemed to have everyone’s attention would kill in Vegas. (Vic, she was Becky and Bailey caliber). We each get a few dances and (MN has a strict no touching policy) after 4-5 beers we decide to call it a night. (For a quick laugh, type in “strip clubs in Minneapolis” while in Google Maps. The map lights up like a Christmas tree.) Thursday Wake up early to some questionable weather that we spent half the day dodging and only get 9 holes of golf in. The courses in Minnesota are very nice because none of them get a ton of play. It baffles me how many courses there are surrounding the Twin Cities. After golf we head up to the Mall of America to kill a few hours before the game that night. We head back for Game #2 and have front row seats along 1B/RF. The view is pretty sick and we see a solid outing by Blanton and another Phils win. After the game we head back to Mankato (town I live in) which is 75 minutes south of the cities. Friday Wake up for another round of golf later that evening we head out in downtown Mankato. The town is home to MSU (Minnesota State) and the downtown bars are largely supported by the college. We bounce around to a couple of bars and none are overly crowded (still mostly college students) until we get to the last one (South Street). We walk in around 12 and it’s PACKED with college kids. The first song we hear is LFO’s Summergirls followed by Ma$e “Feels So Good” and some other random late 90’s/early 00’s bar/frat songs. The kiddies’ belt out the lyrics like 2001 VertRamp did when “Pour Some Sugar On Me” or “Livin on a Prayer” came on. Being the strip club fanboy that he is, Jefe thinks we should check out the local joint that I’ve heard about but have never been to. We head over there around 1230 and pay our $2 cover (LOL 2 dollars!). Beers are $4 and dances are $10 (I LOVE IT, BEST DEAL EVER!). There are about 8-10 different girls working and it’s kinda something-for-everyone roster. Jefe gets a few dances and has a few others queued up until we realize that the guys they’re with have slapped down hundos (10 dances FTW!) and will be getting dances for the better part of the next hour. It seemed like the rules are a little more lax once the money get flowing, but the dances are just out in the open. Also, in a strip club history first, one of the girls wore a hooded zip front sweatshirt when she came off stage and made her way around the room. Apparently she gets cold really easily and doesn’t work up a sweat swing from the rafters for 2-3 songs. She even started a lappie with sweatshirt still on!
