Not much to report that will thrill you. I've been taking German lessons 1.5 hours a week for the last 3 weeks. I know very little German. I am going to wait until I get back in August to kick up the intensity. Right now I have my eyes on the move...getting things ready on both sides of the pond. This past weekend I went to a bunch of furniture and discount stores to do some recon -- to figure out what would be best to buy in the States (nearly everything) and what to buy here (almost nothing). Actually, IKEA DE's prices are fairly similar to IKEA USA but slightly more expensive due to the currency conversion. I could save about $15 per $100 in the US. I bought a new washer and dryer at a bargain sale for ... well a bargain. Kate bought a couch (sectional) from Bob's discount furniture on Sunday which I'm excited about. We ended up spending a bit more on that than I was planning, but we intend to go on the cheaper side for a new coffee table and TV stand (IKEA). Also, they don't have closets here. So everyone buys wardrobes. What a silly expense!! Kate needs to buy a bike yet in the US too.
