some states don't have separate causes of action for slander. assuming for a minute that the dog lawyer does in fact practice in a state with a separate cause of action, it's not clear from the facts at hand whether the accusation was spoken or written, therefore, it's impossible to say if it's slander or libel. in the absence of facts, i must conclude that lawyer dog knows the difference and made the correct call.

ps, i love that i actually just spent time breaking down lawyer dog's meme.
