Does anyone know German law? Didn't think so. I am unsure what the German tolerance is for downloading movies/tv/music/books for free, but if it's anything like other laws here, it's probably very low. So this leaves me with exploring my options.

I could try a private torrent site. I have an invite from TVtorrents, but could never get the thing to work in VA because I couldn't figure out how to forward my port. And piratebay worked well with peer guardian so whatever. I'm not sure if this is an option.

Can I use a VPN for this? Any ideas how to set this up or what this would cost?

Alternatively, I make massive amounts of downloads each time I go back to the US.

I signed a lease for an apartment today. It's new construction. 3 bedrooms. 2 full baths. Open kitchen. Nice view of the railroad tracks. Choo-choo! It's about 15 minutes bikable to work, which I'm super excited about doing...until November-March. Otherwise, by train, my commute will be about 30-35 minutes door-to-door. It's really nice biking in the city. Which is probably why so many people do it. That and cars are 2x more expensive than in the US, plus gas is 2.5 times more expensive.

I start my German language classes on Friday.

I think July 28th is the best for doing something in Philly while I'm back. Can people check their calendars and let me know if that does or does not work? July 7th might also work.
