He picked up his booze, and took a drink. It was the first taste of alcohol he'd had in a decade, and but it went down smooth. Pretty sure his tolerence was lower then a highschool girl's at this point, he knew he'd have to nurse it. He had to keep his wits about him for the day ahead.
He'd promised them. And if there was one thing Tumbler tended to be good on, it was his word. He said he'd come back, if he they ever decided to let him out of the pen, which he had doubted very seriously back then. They wanted to give him life (a few lifetimes, actually)..burdening the full stock of cars and and every known theft (the evidence having been, in his opinion, larely circumstantial). After the mess with the Chicago ring that had led to getting him off the hook, he'd spoken to Freb. Had found out the crew had scattered--and stayed scattered. Belly up, they'd all been too scared to come back. And that had royally pissed him off. Why then, had he rotted away in that damn cell, if they weren't going to be with their families anyway? He could maybe understand Sphinx staying away...he was meat the big dogs wanted bad. Memphis, too. But the others? Shit. Their heat had died relatively quick. He planned to find out just what went wrong and kept them all away.
A smooth, instantly familier feminine voice broke into the cloud of his thoughts, and his green eyes lift from his glass to meet the woman at his side. Her features were twinged with annoyance, but were still stunningly beautiful. She didn't look a minute older than when he'd left--though he hasn't figured that she would, considering she wasn't human. He wondered how much she knew--unlike the other wives and girlfriends of the members, she had abilities that made her different. For a long span of moments, he just took in the sight of her. He'd been without her for ten long years...been without anyone, for that matter.
"Prison's got a habit of hardening a fella's balls." He says, setting his glass down so he could turn towards her. "I should have wrote you. You deserved that much." He hasn't been too worried of the feds going after her...she would have had little issue skirting them. "I didn't want you thinking about me in there. Or worse, coming to see me in there. I was a fool." He gives a shrug of his shoulders. He had become quite a bit more buff in his time in the pen. He'd kept boredom at bay in the weight yard. "And for that...I'm sorry." He half expected her to belt him, but Perg was unpredictible. That was one of the things he loved so much about her.
