I continue to be befuddled by the posts on this board that if Fordham moved into the A-10 it would then REALLY become competitive and suddenly I-A schools will schedule you. The disconnect for me is that if you struggle in the PL, against supposedly weaker competition, what makes you believe that FU will become some powerhouse. FU has to recruit within a given set of constraints and it has some difficulty. Going to the A-10, you will have a different set of constraints & challenges, so how is it that FU will rise above its competitors? Still, I hope Fordham stays in the PL as its level of play, prestige and recognition continue to rise faster than that of other I-AA conferences. A-10 is no magic bullet for you guys and realistically is Maine or New Hampshire a bigger draw than Lehigh or Holy Cross?

Scholarships are a big draw for a HS athlete... It also would allow FU to field a better team in general ..and increase the chance of playing a 1A each year.. No disrespect Lehigh.. but 3 teams in Pa. in PL arent exciting for an FU fan.. at least a Villanova, Delaware, UMass..an occasional Army/Navy/Rutgers type is more exciting option.....
