Security Forces Spouses

Some Airmen who defend the Force
Don't do it all alone
There's often someone special
Keeping things on track back home

Those wives and husbands also serve
While mates go off to war
And many times they carry on
Not knowing what's in store

They may not go to foreign lands
Or carry guns or fight
But they have battles of their own
And many sleepless nights

Their courage and tenacity is
Seldom recognized
Except by those who see it most
Through grateful loving eyes

So here’s to those who wait at home
Steadfast to ties that bind
For by their love and staunch support
They too, help hold the line.
