Gramps my first duty station was Westover in Massachussetts. It was SAC but all our Buffs were either in Thailand or Guam. We still had the munitions area and about 6 months before turning it over to the Reserves, we were getting one and two 135s sent down from Loring and Pease, to be put on alert. Anyway, with our birds deployed, everyone was eligible for TDY to 2 bases. One was Guam! The other was Thule, in the wonderful land of Greenland. So myself and practically everyone else, did not want either. What about you?
