Ahhh!! Traveling stress! I just drove over 1500 miles in a compact car with a diabetic sister who had a severely painful stiff neck from flying out to California to ride back with me to Arkansas, and an old cat who never liked traveling...but behaved himself fabulously for the whole trip. I wish I could say the same thing for my sister. Her hatred of my well-behaved cat and her childish complaints along the way made what was a relatively nice drive an ordeal.

To make things worse, the movers waited a full week with my furniture and personal items {including my precious guitars) in their warehouse before they even sent them on in their truck. So now I'm still sitting here at my sisters house listening to her complain about how the cat-box is stinking up her second bathroom and how my old place smelled "vile" from cat odor. Actually, I made sure it didn't smell too badly, since there were boxes everywhere cutting off circulation in the house. The movers made things even worse by calling here and delaying the delivery until the 28th, when it was supposed to be here on the 17th.

Now I've discovered my new home has aquired plumbing problems since I bought it, and no one bothered to fix them before I came or tell me about it. Also, none of the minor problems it had that the previous owner said she'd have fixed were actually dealt with. Everything broken before was still broken, and all the c**p in the yard she swore she'd get rid of is still there...she didn't even put in the mailbox she'd sworn she'd put in (she'd dug out the original one and put it in front of the house she lives in now...rather than just spend $10.00 at the hardware store and get a new one) even though my sister bought the new one and delivered it to her. Now I have to do that myself too. I should have gotten it in writing, but my sister swore the woman was her friend and would do everything she said she would.

I haven't talked about this for the past week because it was more to deal with than I'm used to. To add to the confusion, the renter never completely moved out. His refrigerator is still there, full of his food, running cheerily at my expense, and his washer and dryer are still sitting smuggly in the spot mine will have to go into when it comes on Tuesday. He's had this whole week to get it out of there, but if he doesn't...I think I'll eat his food! Ho ho hoooooo!!!!!!
