Everyone knows how I feel about this issue, but I recall reading that Bent Rej considered the moment Brian decided to move out of the appartment he shared with Mick and Keith and move into the Lawrence home to be his "Fatal Error".

Bent feels that Brian distanced himself from those two by doing this, and opened the door for Andrew to move in and take his place. He also began to travel alone, not with the rest of them, at that time. According to Bent, this was "The End" for Brian, and the crowning event that eventually led to his diminishment, downfall and death.

It's kind of true that nothing much after that could be considered a "good thing" in Brian's life. Some things, like his fascination with Morocco, were nice, but had no effect in raising his status. Alan Klein refused to release "The Pipes of Pan" while Brian was still under contract to him...but he was sure quick to do so after his death! A last attempt to make money off of Brian without paying him for it?? Curious.
