Further to my above post, recurring bouts of pneumonia are also a symptom of the condition my husband died from. Its called an Alpha-1 Anti-Tripsyn Deficiency and what triggered my thoughts in 1983, when my husband was diagnosed, was how very similar Brians symptoms were to Ed's. Even the manner of death could be linked, although my husband slipped into a sudden coma in front of me, so we knew, Brian could have had the same thing happen.
As far as the reports of an asthma attack, that was the early report that was put out about Brians manner of death. I will continue to feel in my heart that Brian may well have had the condition, since it was completely unheard of in the 60s, but according to current medical research, has been in existence forever. Look it up, you might see what I mean.
