Subject: I found the long LOST review of Fox's episode.

I’m not a fan of LOST or unknown eye candy brought in to soothe the lower demographic. Anyways, let’s get on with it.

CO: Eh it was a so-so sketch. It got too bogged down with standard Reagan references. But I guess this was supposed to be a parallel to today's white house. A couple lines were funny including the last one about writing a book. And it was nice to see a CO that steered away from Bush.

Monologue: I had an idea for a monologue where the host is a jerk and somebody else replaces him. Plus with Tenacious D on the show I could include some goofy and creepy lines. Honestly I can only imagine the lunacy of Jack Black. There’s something about him that makes him naturally hilarious! I really can’t explain it. Oh and I went with Ron Livingston as a replacement host so then I can finally use an Office Space reference.

Topper: Simple premise, two guys try to outdo each other. It may have been a tad similar to other dueling sketches, but it had enough powerful dialogue to stand out on its own. I really want to see this acted out because the expressions and characterizations are well defined. Throw in girls wrestling in cool whip and that's a winner in my book. But hey you kept it going and going with their ugly wife tales and goodbyes. Hilarious sketch, Jim.

Seinfeld: Yeah I think this was a little too flat considering all the other Seinfeld parodies and commentaries on the situation. I liked Jerry's Observations on the skinheads. It was ironic considering they are all Jewish. I think the makeout part was a bit too much. I did like the line about Newman(Wayne Knight) being a racist.

WU: Solid Update this week. I thought the jokes were much better this time around. My favorites were the South Korean meat joke and the Nazi Santa joke. The Byron Allen commentary was pretty good. However, I didn’t think the George Clooney thing was funny. It’s like one big drawn out joke with very little payoff. By the way, I wrote the Kal Penn commentary and the 3 jokes that preceded it.

ABC Budget Cuts: Yeah this was half good half bad. I think it took way too long for the action to get going. But once the Indian actress came into the picture and the whole green scene issues were presented it became very funny. The twist ending also played out well. Great use of straightman Fox and great sketch for a first timer.

Restaurant Merger: This was a well timed sketch Evan. It combined the looniness of names and the commentary on mergers. The announcer breaking the fourth wall is an oldie but a goodie. I think I would have done without the homeless guys in the beginning as they didn’t really add much. But the family’s frustrations were great along with those crazy entrees! Way to end the sketch by baiting the family back with their love of chain restaurants. Well done!

Rocky and the Duke 2: I liked them the first time and I'm glad they came back. I thought the first song was the funniest but it was still great thru the end. I don't know if Neil Young would have been up to this, but I really want to see this acted out. You know JB's energy would have sold these twisted lyrics. Anyways, great job, Mark.

Pretty good show for the most part. I think we’re still managing to pull off the some great sketches every time.
