Subject: The Review
In reply to: Patrick Lonergan 's message, "REVIEWS: Johnny Knoxville 05/07/05" on 18:46:48 05/07/05 Sat

Lorne's Worst Nightmare: Good concept, with Jackass members fooling around backstage, but it seemed to me to be too much action going on, and Tina Fey and Lorne Michaels together might not work on television.

Monologue: I'm a fan of slapstick, watching Laurel & Hardy and The Three Stooges since I was five. This shoutfest in some weird way kind of reminded me of that. However, the extreme of Knoxville having a hole in his chest like that was too exaggerated and really bothered me for some reason.

Late Night With Conan O'Brien: Short segment that showcased Knoxville's ability to take multiple crotchshots. It would be cool to see how Hammond does that impression.

Weekend Update: (review coming)

Runaway Media: Loved this sketch. Reminds me a lot of those Armisen skits on WU as Diego or Tom Jankeloff. Interviewing people with sharp cuts like that in pre-tape. Love it. Also, the reporter asking everyone the "important" questions in the news, in this case the Runaway Bride.

All Wuss All Day: Another great idea. The best part was the interaction between the two announcers, getting in verbal fights about "large" women. Who was Maurice, though?

No More Walmarts: Great writing here. I wish I could write more than one sentence for each actor at a time.

Eminem Considers Suicide: Fantastic visual sketch that would have been hilarious on TV. Hammond as Sinatra would be interesting to see. The only problem is that it was way too short. Stuff like this would be great with a little more length.

Dog Day Suicide: Insane idea. This started off great to me, as I had no idea where it was going to go. Some of the middle stuff went over my head, but I enjoyed the Falconer-type comedy of puppet hands with the dog. Excellent last line.

Once again, I don't like reviewing. I think I'm horrible at it. But I do love reading reviews. Please, send some here. I beg you. I apologize for any vagueness or incoherence in my review.

BESTEST TO NOT SO BESTEST:
Dog Day Suicide
Runaway Media
Weekend Update
Eminem Considers Suicide
All Wuss All Day
