Subject: The Chief (formerly known as Heather back in the old days, found a Best of HB cd that judi put together in 2004.

There are some great posts, and Chief wanted to trip down memory lane, (see her post a few down.) It's wonderful we still have great HB posterrs. Sadly, her cd wiped out all of a sudden, I dug out mine and it is fine and dandy. Chief asked me to post the origin of Harm's alter-ego (ahem...), HE, to go along with the rather inappropriate CW (Commander Winkie.) I'm posting her original post along with the responses below. I must admit to being proud of my sudden inspiration playing off Chief's (Heather's) post.

What's his ERA????
June 27, 2002

Heather (The Chief)
Hey, Ladies (and gents?)- I had to tell you this. The tv section of our local paper has proclaimed tonight's final Regis-Hosted episode of "Millionare" to be "the end of and era."

HUH??

How long was that show on? 2 years? MAYBE 3?

So what will they call it when JAG airs it's final ep (after 8-10 years)? The end of a geologic age?

Children in 2102 will hear this in their social science classes: "The late 1990's through early 2000's is known to current scholars in the antique television field as 'The JAGaceous Period.'"

We can only hope.

Replies:

- When Jag ends it will be the end of all life as we know it....SOB SOB (NT) -- manette- I think Regis's era was about a 1.29 but in the last year has krept up to a 5.80,

- Yes the era of Harmo Sapiens, and that super breed, Harmo Erectus. (NT) -- Cece....(homework project : write a paper..subject : What killed off the Regisourus?)

- SPEW alert! ROTFLOLOLOLOL!!!!!!! Oh my! LOLOL! (NT) -- Luoodles,

- Cece, remember, no big words, no latin ......... even if it seems this one word was understood...lol (NT) -- Brigitte,

- Harmo Erectus?!!! Hahahahah!! OMG-ROTFLOLOLOLOL!!! Tooooo funny!! (NT) -- Jenn-I'm laughing so hard I almost fell outta my chair....,

- Harmo Erectus! Whoo Hoo!!!! We've finally got a suitable substitute for Commander Winkie! LOL! AWESOME coinage of a phrase, CC! BTW, I do believe the Regisaurus was struck down by the aforementioned Harmo Erectus. At least that's MY theory. There are still a few holding to that crazy meteor idea. (NT) -- Heather,

- UM . . . don't want to get anyone's dander up, so I must clarify that I am NOT, repeat NOT advocating for a replacement for dear CW. That should probably say "a suitable pseudonym". Never in my life would I ever want CW replaced, only reNAMED once in a while. (NT) -- Heather (taking over the mantle of "Big Word Spewer" for the quarantined CC),

- My, what you guys don't get "up to" while I'm away. LOL! "Harmo Erectus?" LOLOLOLOLOL! That has GOT to go into the HB dictionary right next to Abby's "eyegasm." No doubt about it, CW references will hereby be competing with lusty references to Harm and his "intimate companion," H.E. LOL and hehehe. Great addition to the language, Cece. (NT) -- Dancer,

- The thought of Harmo Erectus really gets my harmones going. Oh my!!! what I'd love to do with that HE-Man! (NT) -- RDOL,

- I just don't know. I LIKE Regis. I think his Live show is fun when I catch it. For some reason that "Millionaire" show never caught on with me. I don't know. I never understood what people saw in it. Calling it the end of an era seems a bit much!!!! For heaven's sake. What are they smoking? LOL! (NT) -- Luoodles,

- Blue M&M's probably........:o) (NT) -- Windchime,

- What No Millionare Show ???? What will the youth of today do about Trivia and other senseless information. Well, I quess its back to the good old Jeopardy. I wonder then DJE will be back on again. (NT) -- Lorac,

[> [> Amazing what we DID do here on the HB before all that social media. We acutally had conversaions well over 140 characters (altho if you go over 600 you still have to go "inside" where you are allowed 40,000.) We were a wild bunch! With a Big A$$ Blue Van for quick getaways an a sizeable bail fund! -- The Chief (thanks for pinch hitting, CC!!), 00:01:18 04/23/14 Wed

[> WOW!! I came in late for these brilliant banters. Would LOVE to read more if anyone has them. Knowing the history of CW and HE is more important than knowing Einstein's theories. More, more, more... -- jenks, 08:34:09 04/23/14 Wed

[> There are some great posts on the cd. I don't want to overwhelm the board with our old stuff all at once. It really is up to you guys, There are a number of old collages which are quite good, As Chief said below, the vids are not as clear as the ones that can be put todgether now, but we used to go nuts about them. -- Cece, 13:52:04 04/23/14 Wed

[> I must admit I didn't know where the term HE came from, glad to have that mystery solved. As to older posts, once a week would be great, how about joining the crowd and having a Throwback Thursday. Seems everyone is doing it now, this would be a great thing to look forward to. -- usmgrad, 18:47:02 04/23/14 Wed

[> FYI, "eyegasm" and "winkie" were fiirst used by Abby Normal, who cmae up with some hilarious stuff. I don't know who stuck "Commander" on winkie, but it was an inspired name. Notice it never changed to Captain Winkie...... -- Cece, 03:23:14 04/25/14 Fri
