"I just miss HARM... that tall handsome all-American hero with the 40-Kilowatt smile, oh-so-hot-in-a-uniform bod,
sexy laugh, drown-in-me eyes, protect-me-forever arms, truth-n-justice heart, and cocky
but slightly clueless jet-jockey personality.... *SIGH* If it weren't for Harm, I wouldn't have been here since the beginning,
making friends, having fun, debating, speculating, etc." The Chief
Hijacking the board for a few seconds - But since Harm and JAG Fanfic is how I started writing - it seemed appropriate to share with all of you - This week I made the USA TODAY Bestseller list - And think - I owe it all to Harm :) -- chris k, 21:36:08 11/25/15 Wed

Thankful for all my HarmyBoard friends! -- Sunny, 11:05:54 11/26/15 Thu
I am so very thankful for all of the wonderful friends and oodles of laughter I have found on the HB for lo these many years. Thankful to get to meet so many folks in person, and very, very thankful for the enduring friendships formed with so many of you! Has it really been that long ago that the bellboy in Van Nuys asked if we needed him to call 911 as he saw flight suited Harm being wrestled out of the elevator at FanFest?? A special shout out to my Texas Tarts, the ultimate Blue Ladies
Throwback Thursday -- :), 08:11:09 11/19/15 Thu Dog Robber, part one and two airing Thursday and Friday on INSP. From season seven, first aired on November 20th and 27th, 2001. (Fourteen years ago almost the the day!)
Harm - You remember Uncle Scrooge?
Bud - I know my ducks sir.
Bud - Are we speaking in code?
Harm - Yes
Bud - Cool
One of the funnier "conversations". What do you think?
Season six, a period episode. Mac is preparing a for lecture at the Naval Academy about the USS Somers. This is one of those episodes we got to see our favorite actors in another character. Everyone except Harm. This is the only scene of him in period dress and there were very few of him at JAG Headquarters. Does this episode go into the "never watch again" memory banks or I'll watch it just to see the 'out of character' acting and the period costumes memory banks?
Did you know . . . -- usmgrad, 09:13:51 09/07/15 Mon
. . . you can watch 83 episodes of JAG online at CBS Classic? Even though it's a subscription site, it has many of the classic CBS shows. Wonder why they have 83 out of 227, wonder which ones they picked? Would their classics be our "classics"?
So if you had to pick only 83 episodes which would they be? I'll start with an easy one:
JAG Premiere -- usmgrad, 08:04:59 09/26/15 Sat
We've come to the end of Season Premiere week with what I think was the most difficult one to watch. Not at all what we had hoped for or expected. On September 26, 2003 season nine premiere with A Tangled Webb, part II. This was episode number 183 in the series.
Harm and Mac must escape pursuers determined to kill them, while also sorting through their feelings. Gunny Galindez must get an injured Webb to a hospital before he dies. At the end of the episode, there is a tribute to Trevor Goddard.
Harm: (to Mac) I forgot how beautiful you are.
Mac: Things are never gonna work out between us.
There are two seasons missing from "Premiere week" which ones are they?
Harm -- usmgrad, 08:00:05 09/28/15 Mon
Time to stroll down memory lane! I found this question posted by Judi in 2005,
What episode did Harm look:
1 - sexiest - you want to jump him and have your way with him
2 - most handsome - wow, look at that man in a suit!
3 - most troubled - you want to put your arms around him and make it all go away.
4 - the happiest - you want to laugh with him
5 - best look in his uniform with his cover down low. - He just makes you want to salute
If you don't remember the episode name, describe where he was or what he was doing. Who wants to share? Post your answers and who knows you might get a visual posted to the board in the future to go with that memory!
National Ice Cream Day -- usmgrad, 12:59:21 07/19/15 Sun
Today is National Ice Cream Day, so in celebration a little JAG trivia quiz. (I actually 'borrowed' this from a post AJ did on the for DJE fans message board last year - thanks AJ)
1. In what JAG episode did Harm and Mac enjoy some ice cream together on a hot night? (Also remember the two flavors?)
2. In what JAG episode did Harm eat an orange, while his table companion had ice cream? (Who was the companion and what was that flavor?)
3. In what JAG episode did Harm and Mac assist with a melting ice cream problem, by both eating a helping or two? (Recall this flavor and why there was an ice cream problem?)
Post your answers inside. I'll post pictures and answers Monday night.
JAG Premiere -- usmgrad, 07:43:34 09/25/15 Fri
September 25, 2001 season seven premiere Adrift, part II. This was episode number 135 in the series.
Harm is rescued and Skates revives him in sick bay. His rescue is complicated by amnesia and Mac makes a choice not to set another wedding date. Mic moves out of her apartment, feeling that their relationship is failing. Skates visits Harm at Bethesda Naval Hospital and tells him that she is returning to the fleet. Mac visits Harm at home and they try again to discuss their relationship. Mic rings and tells Mac that he feels that she has made her choice and that he is going back to Australia. Mac follows him to the Dulles airport and just misses him. She phones Harm in tears and he asks her come back to his apartment. However, Renee beats her to it, with the news that her (Renee's) father has died. Harm tells Mac that they can't talk now and she is left in the alley alone, as rain starts to fall.
JAG Premier -- usmgrad, 06:08:42 09/24/15 Thu
Our second season premier for September 23 was eighteen years ago (1997) when season three began with Ghost Ship. This episode introduced us to the letter tapes Harm's Dad sent from Vietnam. They were to play an important part in many episodes through out the series. This episode brought Harm a step closer to finding his father.
After a skeleton is discovered in the hull of a decommissioned Navy carrier, Harm becomes obsessed with discovering a link between the body and his missing father.
On a lighter side the show ended with this exchange between Harm and Mac:
Harm: I slept the first day, but after that, the nurse threatened to tie me down if I so much as stuck my nose out the door.
Harm: Yellow light, Major.
Mac: Oh come on, Harm, haven't we reached the point where we can drop the traffic signals?
Harm: Absolutely. Have I ever told you why a female Marine is like the Energizer Bunny?
Mac: On second thought, let's not.
Which do you like more, the serious story lines or the light hearted humor?
JAG Premiere -- usmgrad, 19:46:29 09/24/15 Thu
Second premiere episode on September 24 was in 2004 with Hail and Fairwell part 2. In what turned out to be the last season, season 10, this episode was number 206 in the series.
Sturgis is named Acting JAG; Mac is unable to accept that Clayton Webb is dead and investigates the circumstances surrounding his death. Mac and Harm track a still-alive Webb to his family's beachfront house and discover that undercover MI6 agent Simon Tanveer is a deadly assassin known only as "The Hawk". Mac breaks up with Webb, unwilling to live with the lies of their relationship.
Best we can say about this episode is we saw Harm in his whites, and he played his guitar. Anything else to add?
JAG Premier -- usmgrad, 06:12:38 09/24/15 Thu
Premiering thirteeen years ago today, September 24, 2002 was Critial Condition. The beginning of season eight, episode number 159 in the series. Hopes were running high for a Harm and Mac connection after In Country in season seven.
As Bud fights for his life in the aftermath of being caught in a landmine while attempting to save a young Afghan boy from a minefield while in Afghanistan with Coates which has left Bud himself badly wounded and near death, the JAG team, having learnt of Bud's accident pause to reflect on what Bud means to them while Harm, Mac and Coates eagerly await the outcome of Bud's surgery and as this happens, back in Washington D.C., both Admiral Chegwidden and Lieutenant Singer testify before the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence about the "dirty bomb" attack that was stopped in "Enemy Below" with the outcome eventually costing Alexander Nelson his job as SECNAV.
This was a season with such hopes, only to have them dashed. The beginning of the end some said. What do you think?
Another season premier for this day later.
Twenty years ago today, September 23, 1995 this wonderful journey began with JAG - A New Life.
Lt. Harmon Rabb Junior flew onto the Seahawk and into our lives and things have not been the same since. From the first episode, I don't think anyone had a clue how Harmon Rabb would affect our lives, make us a family, but here we are twenty years later celebrating episode number one!
When a female US Navy F-14 Radar Intercept Officer is killed at sea, Lt. Harmon Rabb and his partner Lt. (j.g.) Caitlin "Kate" Pike must find out who tossed her overboard. The episode takes place aboard the fictional carrier USS Seahawk (usually depicted in the series by the real life USS Enterprise (CVN-65)). It includes the first appearance of Bud Roberts (played by Patrick Labyorteaux) as the Seahawk's Public Relations Officer. This episode also includes the first appearance of Michael Bellisario, who would later play the character of Mike "Mikey" Roberts, Bud Roberts's younger brother, although at this point he is the little boy named Antonio in the small boat in the opening scene. Harm flies as RIO for Captain Boone, and miraculously pilots the F-14 on a landing when Boone is injured.
Did you fall in love at first sight or did it take a few episodes? Now that we have perspective, would you change the pilot episode? If so, how. Just out of curiosity, did JAG and Harmon Rabb change your life? If so how?
Check back later, there is another episode that premiered on this day.
JAG Premiere -- usmgrad, 08:22:48 09/21/15 Mon
It's premiere week in the US, time for new shows and new episodes of our favorite shows. So let's take a look back at the premiers of our FAVORITE show! Sixteen years ago today, September 21, 1999 King of the Greenie Board first aired. It was episode one of season five, number 86 in the series.
Harm's back flying a Tomcat with Skates as his RIO, however, Lt. Buxton, a hot-shot pilot, is making things difficult for him. Mac is promoted to Lieutenant Colonel. Mac's case involving a Marine who drank too much before testing a new weapons system brings a new member to the office. At the end of the episode, Lt. Buxton fires on what he believes are Serbian armored vehicles. Back on the carrier, Buxton is confronted by a Russian officer who tells him he in fact blew up a Russian armored vehicles.
Which did you prefer Harm the pilot or Harm the lawyer? Was this episode a good start to the season or just another episode? Mac is promoted in this episode and now outranks Harm, was this a problem? Plus we were introduced to a new character, Gunny. Was he a good addition to the ensemble? What do your remember about the start of season five?
JAG Premiere -- usmgrad, 07:50:46 09/22/15 Tue
It's premier week in the US, time for new shows and new episodes of our favorite shows. So let's take a look back at the premiers of our FAVORITE show! Seventeen years ago today, September 22, 1998 Gypsy Eyes first aired. It was the beginning of season four, episode number 62 in the series. We finally had an answer to the season three "cliff hanger" did Harm and Mac survive being shot down.
With a voice-over, Harm updates the viewer on his search for his father up to the previous episode. The Russians claim Harm and Mac died while on a demo ride in a MIG-29. The truth is they punched out before the plane went down. They encounter a Gypsy brother and sister, Vasya and Rusza, who take them by wagon to a train station and dress them up as gypsies. Rusza has a vision in which Russian soldiers rape her and kill Harm before he can save her. Harm is convinced the vision will not come true. At the train station, before Harm and Mac can get on the train to Lubyanka, they are detected by Falcon. After some hesitation, they decide to trust him and let him take them back to Moscow, where they find Chegwidden, Agent Webb and Alexei, who is in reality a double agent most loyal to the CIA, who pay him best. Harm and Mac finally arrive in Svischevo, where they meet a woman who cared for Harm Sr. after he escaped from Vorkuta. The woman tells a story which is the same as Rusza's vision, except with Harm Sr. instead of Harm Jr., and herself instead of Rusza. The woman says Harm Sr. died and was buried in the Taiga.
Good start to a new season? Did the episode go as you thought? Hoped? Should Harm's Dad have been found alive? Would Harm have been different in later episodes if he could have buried his father in the US?

The JAG Office Memo Game -- Araninda, 17:09:32 02/10/10 Wed
Yes, at long last, a revival of the "JAG Office Memo” game that we used to play years ago here on the HB. For those of you unfamiliar with the game, here’s a brief explanation:
As you probably know, a standard office memo can take on a life of its own. It generates one or more replies. Then replies to the replies begin to follow. Soon memos are going back and forth in a wild round robin. Our JAG office memo game is the same. I am starting the memo below. The next poster replies in a memo format. Then each additional poster continues and builds on the story with another memo from a JAG character. We are not limiting the memos to any particular time in the series, so you can use any character, even those who didn’t actually work at JAG headquarters. Be as creative, witty or zany as you wish with your memos.
One more thing -- Please sign your board name. We didn’t use to do that with this game, but now I’m encouraging you to also give GRABBs for the best memos. I won’t know who to credit with a GRABB if I don’t have your board name. Everyone – help us keep the board alive and join in the fun!

Funny JAG Moments -- SammyB, 20:23:49 09/30/07 Sun
I've been having a JAGathon this evening with watching my season 4 dvd and I've been having a great laugh at certain moments such as Buds and Harriet trying to get Bud into his santa suit, the Admiral playing with the robot, Chloe mentioning Mac's fantasies to Harm. Mac's comment about 'Mind if I strip it down?' 'huh?' 'your pistol? mind if I clean it?' (lol my pervy mind). Plus there are great moments in earlier and later seasons. I love the sceane from 'What If' where they are arguing in court and mac goes 'Your honour he didn't make the bed in two years' and when they are at the house 'I could sell tickets to this museam of adolecene' and from season one 'You want me to put in my report that we were chasing little green men sir?' What are your favourite moments?
"I need another wife like my camel needs pants" - then the look on Harm's face when he tells Mac he can't leave her behind. - Black Jet - Season 4 (NT) -- chris k, 21:24:58 09/30/07 Sun
Of course I love all the Harm and Mac scenes. However some of the earlier scenes with Bud are hysterical. In the episode Vanished all the Bermuda Triangle talk. When Bud made the symbol of a triangle with his hand when they first got on the boat, and Harm teasing Bud about a secret Navy vortex that sucks ships and planes like"rubber duckies". There are so many scenes in that episode. (NT) -- Eileen, 21:28:43 09/30/07 Sun
Not to mention Bud's secret password: "STUD" LOL And Harm's line "I peeked...twice". (NT) -- JAG Junkie (Ronda)--just watched Vanished yesterday, 22:10:14 09/30/07 Sun
And Harm "going along" with the secretive UFO watchers by enticing them with top secret access at the Pentagon "beyond the purple water cooler"! LOL When JAG writers were good, they were GOOD! (NT) -- The Chief, 10:25:18 10/01/07 Mon
Don't forget Bud telling the girl at the archives that he and Harriet are researching the USS Horny... (NT) -- JAGNikJen, 14:41:37 10/01/07 Mon
Ooops that was for Ghost Ship, not Vanished. Sorry - it's been a rough couple of weeks. (NT) -- JAGNikJen (the long-suffering), 14:47:25 10/01/07 Mon
I have another moment that had me almost wetting myself with laughter with the episode 'Silent Service' (I'm watching it right now) when the master cheif was explaining to Mac how to use the head that was a priceless moment.. And then there was Harm's conversation with Bud when Bud asks him what's it like to be on a sub and Harm tells him that when he goes home to remove all of his fresh fruit and vegetables, but oil in the air conditioning and sleeping on a shelve in his wardrobe. (NT) -- SammyB, 22:28:48 09/30/07 Sun
There's a season ten episode where Cresswell says something about JAG being like working in an institution. That cracked Mary (of the numbers) and me up when we were watching it at Judi's. Bud singing Delilah was pretty funny. Also when Harm and Mac are in a courtroom overseas and he says if he messes up protocol for her to just kick him. They say something in court and he just can't keep quiet. After he says his piece he sits back down and Mac kicks him in the shins. LOL! (NT) -- Theresa, 22:33:57 09/30/07 Sun
That second one is from "Innocence", Theresa. (just watched it recently) (NT) -- The Chief, 10:26:54 10/01/07 Mon
Yeah baby when Bud tells Tiner to get his own pregnant wife and AJ interrupts then holds up a snow globe, tells tiner this is a man's brain, then shakes it and says this is a man's brain during fatherhood. (NT) -- chris k, 22:39:25 09/30/07 Sun
I also crack up during Silent Service, when the Master Chief is trying to explain to Mac on how to use the "head" LOL. (It looks like MAE was having a hard time trying to not bust out laughing). I also like when she chews out the Petty Officer, and then turns around and gives Harm the death look. (NT) -- jagfanincalif, 23:00:06 09/30/07 Sun
The funniest scene in all ten years, INMO, was the scene from the two-parter "Boomerang" when Harm and Mic "bust" Bud's jaw--Patrick played that scene to comedic perfection!! (NT) -- highplainswoman, 06:30:50 10/01/07 Mon
Mac defending the dog, followed by the real life Judge Advocate General (RADM Don Guter) telling AJ he wouldn't take his job for anything! (NT) -- Janlaw, 08:20:56 10/01/07 Mon
What about the scene in "Rogue" when Harm meets up with his old buddy, Raglan, at the bar and Raglan lifts Harm's wallet during their hand shake. Raglan thinks he's got it all going on, but when he opens his own wallet, there's nothing in it but a note that says "arrest this man" in Harm's handwriting LOL (at least, I THINK that's what happens! LOL) (NT) -- The Chief (also, I love how gorgeous Harm looks in that scene in the leather jacket and the soft lighting... YUM!), 10:30:51 10/01/07 Mon
In "Close Quarters"Harm is helping a veteran (Ossie Davis), hte vet has no where to go-H&M getting on the elevator at Jag HQ. & M is talking to H & H says I got it taken care of & Mac then says "He's on your couch". Just the way she says it cracks me up. (NT) -- Jagcharmed2, 13:52:59 10/01/07 Mon
I also love the scene(can't remember what episode) when Mac figures out that Bud and Harriett are "hot bunking" and Harm is clueless. the way Bud and Harriett walk in and Harm asks "what is with these two"? then Mac does her little detective work, and then tells Harm "Pay up Flyboy" When Harm responds "you're good" my mind wanders!! (NT) -- Eileen, 14:49:41 10/01/07 Mon
Actually, Harm says 'he's good for it' as he sees someone he wants to talk to about a case and takes off. That is, of course, if I am remembering correctly. (NT) -- JAGNikJen (--foggy brained), 14:59:13 10/01/07 Mon
And if I'm not remembering correctly, then my apologies... (NT) -- JAGNikJen ~ who wouldn't mind crawling into bed and watching it just because..., 15:02:10 10/01/07 Mon
Yes I think you are right, he does say "he's good for it". Although I thought maybe when she figures it out he said "you're good". Maybe just wishful thinking on my part. I will definitely have to watch it again. Do you remember the name of the episode? (NT) -- Eileen, 18:30:38 10/01/07 Mon
it's from season 3 but for the life of me I can't remember the title it's from the second half of the season. I'll have a look in a moment and see what episode it was. (NT) -- SammyB, 18:43:36 10/01/07 Mon
he does 'you're good' to Mac when she figures it out - it's all just in the order of the dialogue - It's just when she tells him to pay up he says (to quote it properly this time), "I'm good for it..." I don't know if there's anything more, like 'see ya' when he takes off... but there you have it. I still want to crawl in my bed and watch, watch, watch... sigh... (NT) -- JAGNikJen, 19:44:55 10/01/07 Mon
No one has mentioned the Code Blue scene? When the lady says "I haven't got anything you haven't seen!" and he say " I can honestly say I have never seen that before" or something to that effect. Then she says "get back down there and don't come up until you give me double digits!" LOL! I loved that. And from Retreat Hell "Sir, have you considered and MRI?" And Harm to Bud "I'm losing brain cells every minute" (NT) -- Shell, 23:31:06 10/01/07 Mon
There are a lot of funny moments in 'Yeah Baby' (inside) -- SammyB, 10:47:36 10/02/07 Tue
Mac's face in Retreat Hell when it looks like he's going to manually check her bra size. LOL! (NT) -- Theresa, 11:44:43 10/02/07 Tue
Throwback Thursday -- usmgrad, have an early start in the morning so posting tonight, 22:03:20 08/19/15 Wed People vs Mac from season four, first shown on Nov. 17, 1998. This episode is the only one I remember having scenes actually shots in Washington DC. Just wish it would have started and ended better, more shipper! Instead we got Harm answering the phone and saying "Renee" and Mac thinking about going out with Mic.
Rewrite a JAG moment -- Alicia, 19:29:50 08/08/15 Sat
In S5 JAG episode The Bridge at Kang So Ri, Harm almost had to choose between protecting Renee or protecting Mac. Mac revealed herself, saving Harm from the choice. What if she hadn't? Rewrite a JAG moment. Who would Harm have chosen and why? What would have been the result?
Mac:What were you gonna do?
Harm: Do about what?
Mac: When Solla had the gun on Renee, who were you gonna protect, her or me?
Harm: Well, you stepped forward, Mac. I guess we'll never know.
Did you know that August is National Eye Exam Month? Eye sight is an important thing for a pilot. Didn't Harm once boast about his 20/20 vision? (or did I dream that) There were a few episodes where eye sight and eye exams were important, can you name them? -- usmgrad, 22:23:01 08/04/15 Tue

Super Saturday -- usmgrad, 15:44:55 08/01/15 Sat
This week's Super Saturday is a game called Scrabble - JAG Style. It's a very simple game, listed below are ten JAG episode titles. All you have to do is unscramble the letters and to reveal the actual title. Bonus "points" if you can identify the season and episode number for each. To keep others "guessing" post your "answers" inside.
1. doce elub
4. ctuoh adn og
6. ybdo lakt
9. otw otwsn
10. ni niht ira
Reminder: To post inside - type a one or two words in the 'message subject' box but put your answers in 'type your message here' box.
Throwback Thursday -- usmgrad, 08:01:45 07/30/15 Thu The Brotherhood from season one, first shown on Feb 3, 1996. During a simulated attack, a seriously wounded Marine is found on the beach. JAG is called in to investigate. Harm and Meg follow two theories: an executed Code Red or a brawl. After finding a box with drugs on the beach and learning that the wounded Marine's brother Tyler is in a gang, it seems there's more behind the incident.
Do you remember the nicknames the gang called Harm and Meg?
What was it about the hand gesture that got everyone "talking"?
Unscramble each of the clue words. (Hint: they are all from Harm through the Alphabet letter "B") Take the letters that appear in the circles and unscramble them for the final message. Remember put your answers inside so everyone can play!
Throwback Thursday -- usmgrad, 22:47:37 07/22/15 Wed
Early morning for me tomorrow so I'm posting TBT tonight. Need help with this one, I captured the picture but don't remember the episode or the name of the bar.
Throwback Thursday -- usmgrad, 07:59:58 07/16/15 Thu Deja Vu from season one, first shown on Oct. 21, 1995. The fifth episode in the series, we hear and see in flashbacks about Harm's 'trip' to Vietnam to look for his father. Do you think the story was believable? If he hadn't gone to Vietnam when he was 16 do you think he would have gone later, possibly messing up his chance to go to the Academy? What was it that drove Harm to look for his father, the fact that he was missing or was there another factor? Just a few questions to ponder while we remember back to 1995 and the excitement of a "new" man in our lives.
Harm's mother was mentioned in many episodes but only appeared in three, can you name them? What was the "occasion" for each visit? Who was the one doing the visiting? Was Harm a lousy son as Mac once claimed he was?
Here's an interesting 'thought' about where Harm might be now. (inside) -- mj (always hopeful!), 02:54:13 05/29/15 Fri
Check out the MB and the pics of HAE in his new role for the movie 'Battle Scars' which was just featured at the GI Film Festival in Washington DC. On CindyG's fordjefans website are 2 pics which, imo, could definitely be images of our beloved Harm today. This is a role where HAE is retired military. I know Mr. HAE was trying to get away from being typecast, but I think it's not so much that he can't act beyond a certain range, but more he just looks the part of a squared-away fit and authoritative officer. It suits him very well and if ever a JAG reunion should happen, it's great news HAE still looks so great and our beloved Harm can still be there and I think the other original characters need and can be there, imo!
