"I just miss HARM... that tall handsome all-American hero with the 40-Kilowatt smile, oh-so-hot-in-a-uniform bod,
sexy laugh, drown-in-me eyes, protect-me-forever arms, truth-n-justice heart, and cocky
but slightly clueless jet-jockey personality.... *SIGH* If it weren't for Harm, I wouldn't have been here since the beginning,
making friends, having fun, debating, speculating, etc." The Chief
I'm watching Rizolli and Isles - And there's a shooting victim who - surprise - was married to one of the leads twenty years ago.
They were married and got an annulment except - Yep - the papers were never properly filed by the hubby's lawyer.
The lead didn't just 'forget' to get around to it. Mac not bothering to file for a divorce was the stupidest thing I'd ever heard. All that had to happen was the ex had to show up and announce 'oops' we're still married and the whole thing would have worked - sigh
okay - complaint rant over - it is what it is - but still I really wish we could go back and fix all the dumb things the Gorilla did ! lol.
Harm is hiding in plain sight this week. Where is he(what episode)? And what's he's going to do next? When his partner commented "Not much room in here", Harm replied, "you wear a fighter cockpit". If you are first to find him, what would you like him to "wear"? A fighter cockpit or maybe something else.
Legacies / Open Doors (AO3) -- Pixie, 10:27:00 08/08/16 Mon
I wanted to let everybody know that I'm considering porting the contents of the Legacies archive to the Archive of Our Own via their Open Doors project. It's been years since I've had the time to actively engage with the archive, and while I haven't minded maintaining the costs, I'm at a point where I need to think about dropping that monthly expense. Porting the stories to the AO3 will mean that fandom will still have access to them, while allowing me to take down the current website.
The archive will stay where it is for several months. My plan right now is to switch it over to the AO3 next summer. If you or anybody you know has stories at the archive and wants to talk about what's involved in the upcoming transition, please shoot me an email.
I am still, and will always be, a JAG fan. I'm just one with less time to write and enjoy fic.
Throwback Thursday -- usmgrad, 07:08:26 08/04/16 Thu Rivers Run first shown on February 16, 1999 was directed by Greg Beeman and written by Larry Moskowitz.
When Lt. Rivers ("Above And Beyond") seemingly kills a 14-year-old boy during a training exercise, Harm and Mac must defend him before a "kangaroo court" of government separatists. The SEALs were diverted from their normal training ground in an effort by FBI agent Al Grenin to involve them in the hunt for fugitive Warren Toobin. Harriet Sims is promoted to the grade of Lieutenant (junior grade).
One of the few episodes that Harm and Mac wear sweaters as part of the uniform. Also an episode with a guest star. What did you think when there was a guest star? Did it help the show or hinder it? Which guest star did you like the best? Which one would you have liked to see again? Is there someone you wished had made an appearance on JAG that didn't?
Throwback Thursday -- usmgrad, 07:16:06 07/28/16 Thu People vs Mac first shown on November 17, 1998 was directed by Tony Wharmby and written by Larry Moskowitz.
Chris is found dead, Harm (representing Mac) and Mic (representing Mac's mentor and lover, Lt. Colonel John Farrow) clash when Mic's defense strategy places the blame on Mac. Farrow claims he deliberately killed Chris, while Mac claims that she killed Chris. Chris' bookie testifies that Mac accidentally killed Chris when he pulled a gun on her. Cmdr. Lindsey leads the military's prosecution and permanently alienates himself from the JAG regulars.\
This is one of the few episodes with scenes shot on location. Should their have been more episodes like this? What other locations would you have liked to see Harm and Mac visit?
So far, I've watched Soul Searching,Yeah Baby, Goodbyes, King of the Greenie Board and Clipped Wings this week...boy, do I miss JAG and Harm!! There has been somuch humor and laughs. I'd forgotten a lot, but it's still like the happy anticipation of JAG. -- jenks, 08:21:29 07/16/16 Sat

Throwback Thursday -- usmgrad, 07:01:45 07/07/16 Thu Nobody's Child first shown on March 2, 1999 was directed by Tony Wharmby and written by Stephen Zito.
The unidentified body of a young girl strikes a nerve in Harm, and he pulls out all the stops to find out who she was and why someone killed her, as Harriet deals with her own emotions regarding the case. Bud is given his lawyer insignia. Harm and Lt. Coulter (Trisha Yearwood) go to Maryland where they identify the dead girl and find her sister. The end of the episode gave the phone number for the National Committee to Prevent Child Abuse.
Did you know that Trisha Yearwood played Lieutenant Commander Teresa Coulter in six episodes? 'The Return of Jimmy Blackhorse' (S3), 'Nobody's Child' (S4), 'Shakedown' (S4), 'Body Talk' (S5), 'Past Tense' (S6), and 'In Country' (S7).
Would Lt. Coulter have been a good addition to the ensemble as a regular?

I realize only one channel (INSP) now shows JAG in the US and not everyone receives this channel. I continue to post the schedule in hopes of spurring memories and maybe those memories will encourage you to post a message. Maybe it will encourage you to pull out the DVDs and watch an episode again or search You Tube for clips or musics videos. If so please share with us, we all like to remember. Throwback Thursday -- usmgrad, 11:44:18 05/19/16 Thu Someone to Watch over Annie first shown on January 6, 1998 was directed by Greg Beeman and written by Stephen Zito.
Harm tries to protect Annie Pendry (his best friend's widow in "Pilot Error") and her son, Josh, when he witnesses a murder on a class field trip to Andrews Air Force Base. A German weapons buyer for Saddam Hussein puts out a hit on the kid, then later kidnaps him. This is the second episode in a row in which Harm takes a woman to his apartment after she gets shot at her house.
Annie: (when Harm says he's not dating anyone) Well, I always thought you and Mac would...
Harm: (quickly) Mac has a boyfriend.
Annie: Oh, so you're secretly in love with her.
Adm. Albert Jethro 'A.J.' Chegwidden: I want to know everything you know. If I find out you're withholding anything I will do you serious damage.
Special Agent Clayton Webb: I'm not in your chain of command.
Adm. Albert Jethro 'A.J.' Chegwidden: No, but you are in my line of fire, Mr. Webb.
It is with a heavy heart that I announce discovering this morning on facebook that a long time harmyboard supporter - MKim - passed away on May 12th - I know she's battled health issues for years. We never met face to face, though we shared a love of JAG - Fanfiction - and all things Harm. Rest In Peace Kim. -- chris k, 08:33:05 05/14/16 Sat

Throwback Thursday -- usmgrad, 07:09:53 05/12/16 Thu
Something different this week, Name that episode from season three.
Lt. Rivers, a SEAL up for the Medal of Honor for rescuing a Washington diplomat from Hezbollah, may not get the award when evidence shows that he may have left one of his men behind on the mission. Rivers refuses to clarify the matter one way or the other. Guest-starring Montel Williams as Lt. Rivers, incorporating news archive footage of Bill Clinton at an award ceremony. Bud gets drunk and sings the Tom Jones song, "Delilah".
Quote: Lt Rivers: If the Navy had wanted me to have a wife, they'd have issued one to me along with my dog tags and sea bag.
A Chief aboard the USS Seahawk is accused of sexual harassment. He hires a civilian lawyer, Dalton Lowne (Mac's boyfriend), to defend him. The case becomes personal for Mac when Dalton shows up at her apartment to steal confidential information from her. At the end, the major trio sing the song, "What Becomes of the Brokenhearted".
Harm: You're a good-looking woman…You're smart..of course, you do have a tattoo.
Mac: Every now and then I catch you being nice.
When a fully armed F-14 disappears without a trace, Harm and Mac must determine what happened to the plane and its pilot.
Harm: When the Admiral first told me he was partnering me with a Marine major, I had these visions of a tattooed jarhead challenging me to arm-wrestling matches during lunch.
Mac: Well, I do I have a tattoo, I'm a pretty good arm-wrestler, and although I don't like the term, I am technically a jarhead.
Harm: Wait a minute. You have a tattoo? How come I've never seen it? Where would one find this tattoo?
Mac: I'm afraid that's classified information, Commander.
Throwback Thursday -- usmgrad, 07:08:20 05/05/16 Thu Cowboys and Cossacks from season two, first shown on April 11, 1997. A joint exercise between American and Russian naval forces becomes deadly when the two captains decide to settle their Cold War grudges, trapping Harm, Mac and Bud in the middle. This episode shows Mac can speak at least a little Russian.
This episode uses many stock footage shots from the movie "The Enemy Below".
To simulate the explosion of the Russian ship, real footage from the Falklands War (1982) was used. It shows HMS Ardent blowing up during the attempt to defuse an aircraft dropped bomb.
Bud: Can we be charged with mutiny on a foreign vessel, Commander?
Harm: No...this would be considered an act of terrorism.
Paul Dafelmair won an Emmy Award - "Outstanding Costume Design for a Television Series" for this episode.
. . . Harm was missing. He failed to make the debut with the others; there was a pretender and profiler, some Cowboys & Cossacks, a preacher and even Ghosts, but no Harm. A committee was formed, a Trinity, ready for a Full Engagement if it came to it. Theirs was not going to be a Washington Holiday.
Arriving by separate flights, there was a prearranged Rendezvous across the street from Harm's Eighth street apartment. Each arrived with the stealth of a Force Recon being careful there was no Crossing the Line between fan and stalker. The building was the same, however Harm, it was discovered, had moved. One neighbor said the apartment had a Jinx, another neighbor was sure he left because no one cared but was sure his new place was a charming bachelor suite. Neither knew the day or time of the move, only that he was gone.
The Game of Go was on; the trio had exactly two days to find the object of their desire. The city of We the People was turned upside down. Every corner was searched, no stone left unturned; all the city’s Secrets were exposed. Finally he was spotted, coming from the White House; he entered a limo that was headed north toward Union Station. Also in the limo were an Admiral, an Ensign and a very pretty Marine Major.
The trio, satisfied the Guardian of their hearts had been found, were able to return home Heroes. Harm was alive and well, with new friends, co-workers and many more adventures to share. The trip had been a short one, but the out come was well worth the wait.
JAG Movie -- mj, 08:32:45 04/11/16 Mon
Anyone out there know if anything ever happened with that JAG movie petition that was once posted and sent to CBS and also posted online on the JAG Facebook and Twitter pages and I believe the fordjefans pages? Just wondering if anyone got any response.
The Harmy Board purpose - WE love Harm -- usmgrad, 20:40:40 04/07/16 Thu "Following in his father's footsteps as a naval aviator Lieutenant Commander Harmon Rabb, Jr. suffered a crash while landing his Tomcat on a storm tossed carrier at sea. Diagnosed with night-blindness, Harm transferred to the Navy's Judge Advocate General Corp which investigates, defends and prosecutes the law of the sea. There, with fellow JAG lawyer Major Sarah McKenzie, he now fights in and out of the courtroom with the same daring and tenacity that made him a Top Gun in the air."
And so began our love affair with Harmon Rabb Jr.
The Harmy board is dedicated to discussions, pictures, connections, trivia, about Harm. Other discussion boards were created as we became more "talkative" - HBX for JAG fanfiction; Harmy Board Entertainment for books, movies, music; Harmdrive for anything technological; Friends for well, friends; Desperate Mousewives for lifestyle conversations; Harmon Globtrotters for sports and Close to Harm for discussions on other roles played by David James Elliott.
Anyone can post to any of the discussion board. Sometimes it only takes one post to "get the girls going". Please feel free to start up a conversation, just keep in mind the "themes" of each board and post to the appropriate one.
A JAG trip down memory lane with Chris -- usmgrad, 16:10:56 04/02/16 Sat
JAG Sydney trip photo number 4 - scroll down if you missed the previous three - The Ferry: Manly Beach; and Cheating wife.
Here's the restaurant Harm came stepping out of on his way to meet up with Bud as they were watching the cheating wife. Spent all week looking for it then on a lark my last day I walked up the block to see the view of the bridge and SURPRISE - Less than a block away there it was ! Had I known that I would have had dinner there one of those nights that we had no idea where to eat :)
The Prisoner was one of the Survivors of a Brig Break. After twelve hours, it had been a ScimitarShadow on the High Ground that led the Skeleton Crew to the Sightings that finally lead to the Recovery. The case had been dropped in Harm’s lap just as he was getting ready to leave JAG. Harm was now charged with taking Defensive Action to prove a young pilot, for Harm a member of The Brotherhood, did not commit Pilot Error during a Black Ops code named Ares. It was Déjà Vu for Harm as this case was similar to one a year earlier involving Hemlock, another brother pilot. The War Cries emanating from his cell phone reminded Harm he was late for a bar-b-que with a few co-workers. Harm had been looking forward all week to the Smoked salmon that had been promised. If Harm didn’t find the evidence needed, his client was headed back to Boot camp where his handle would be changed to Desert Son. It was late, Harm picked up his briefcase and cover, deciding that a pick up in mid season would be a welcome return.
I've been very busy traveling this month for work so I haven't visited as much as I'd like to - but I'm about to take a long trip to Australia on Monday with CHER - anyone remember her?
We'll be visiting 'the' bridge and luna park and all the other sites on the JAG list - I have no idea how to share photos but maybe Cher will know. If someone can post a bridge photo to set the mood - go for it !
Observations from episodes last week -- usmgrad, 22:47:06 02/21/16 Sun
I don't normally watch reruns of season 8-9-10 for obvious reason. However last week I did watch two episodes. Coming Home - I remember when it first aired how different it was from other episodes. I never realized what the procedure was to return a fallen solider home and what the family goes through. It was very moving, and I cried the first time and again last week. The episode also had Harm tell Mattie what we all knew, how his not dealing with his father's death had in many ways hurt him. He was not able to let people into his life, to express his love for them. For all the reason you can name for the Mattie story line being wrong or bad, it did give Harm the opportunity to help someone else so they did not go through life as he had. He finally admitted his love for Mac. Even though we all knew it. Hail and Fairwell part one - it was nice to see the interaction of the characters at the dinner, brought back old times. Harm and his love for Mac was there even though he didn't say it out loud it was there. Don't know how anyone could go through what Mac had been through and still stand, but she did and Harm was finally right there when he needed to be. Still don't like the cliff hanger but it is what it is.
Just a few observations, I am not one to discuss and dissect shows however those two episodes in the sea of "what were they thinking" seasons stand out as good episodes, in my humble opinion.
Persian Gulf from season nine, episode 198 and was first shown on February 20, 2004.
The terrorist who held Mac and Webb prisoner in Paraguay returns, and Mac must determine what he wants with her. Harm suffers temporary deafness when his car battery explodes in his face, courtesy of Sadik Fahd. After a bit of hand-to-hand combat, Mac shoots and kills Sadik before he can destroy an American nightclub.

Fanfiction question -- Linda, 10:06:46 01/23/16 Sat
In most Jag fanfiction Harm has his mom or grandmas engagement ring to be used when he got engaged. Was that something first made up in fiction or was that referred to in the show after so many years and so much fanfiction I cant remember!
Head to Toe from season seven, episode 149 and was first shown on February 5, 2002.
Harm and Mac go to Saudi Arabia to defend a female naval aviator who flies C-130 Hercules while serving with the U.S. Air Force but refuses to wear the Abaya when off-base, creating tension between the base commander and a local cleric. Sturgis and Congresswoman Latham have their first dinner date.
Throwback Thursday -- usmgrad, 17:48:44 01/14/16 Thu Full Engagement from season two, first seen on February 21, 1997.
While on their day off, Harm takes Mac for a flight in his vintage airplane, only to be forced to make an emergency landing in a mountain clearing because of mechanical problems. While in search of help, they unwittingly surprise a band of poachers who have just murdered a game warden and who are now determined to kill Harm and Mac. Their lives in jeopardy, Harm and Mac must utilize every evasive military maneuver they've ever learned in order to escape the murderers who are now hunting them.
Who remembers what Mac called Harm as they settled down for the night?
