Our video clip theme "The Bare Necessities" has concluded and now it's time to vote for your favorite bare-chested Harm scenes. Here are the ballot categories:

This is the final video clip of our theme "The Bare Necessities", in which we are carefully studying each of the bare-chested Harm scenes in the series. Later this week we will post a thread for you to vote for your favorite bare-chested Harm among the six scenes.

Today's scene is from an episode that never received much viewing until the DVDs were released. It's the final episode of Season 1, "Skeleton Crew." Harm is telling Meg that NCIS Agent Turkey believes that he (Harm) killed Diane and then killed Lt. Lamb to stop the investigation. This clip is about 85 seconds in length.

- The camera angle was too high in that very last frame! LOL Compared with the others, I'll give this one a 4. He certainly didn't seem to be embarrassed to take his shirt off in front of Meg. This is the only time that I remember him flirting with her, and I think that she was a little embarrassed at the flirtation. She was truly concerned about him being arrested for the murders. We are almost at the end of our video clip theme "The Bare Necessities", in which we are carefully studying each of the bare-chested Harm scenes in the series. Stay tuned, because at the end of the theme, we will post a thread for you to vote for your favorite bare-chested Harm among the six scenes.

Today's scene is the only bare-chested Harm scene with Mac (at least the only one that we viewers saw). It is the famous boxer scene from Season 4's "Webb of Lies". Mac spends the night in Harm's apartment to help protect him from Clark Palmer who is on the loose and working for a rogue spy agency. This clip is 3 minutes in length so it will take longer to buffer or download before playing, but it is worth the wait as it is the entire boxer scene.

1) On our Harm-o-meter drool scale of 0 to 5, with 5 being a drenching waterfall, how fantastic is Harm's body in this clip?
2) This scene is titillating, but does it make sense? Why did Harm let Mac stay? At the time he was in an intense relationship with Jordan. So why let another woman stay overnight? Did he really believe he needed Mac's help against Palmer?
3) Why the boxers, which are rather provocative when a guest is there? What does Harm's attire tell you about how he viewed his relationship with Mac?

Today's bare-chested Harm scene is from Season 3's "Someone to Watch Over Annie" and it's the morning after the passionate sex scene in Harm's apartment between Harm and Annie. We are midway through our video clip theme "The Bare Necessities", in which we are carefully studying each of the bare-chested Harm scenes in the series. Today's bare-chested Harm scene was posted on the board earlier this year by Hope. It is from the "Jag Pilot" episode that launched the series. The clip is about 3 minutes and includes interesting interaction between Harm and Kate as well as the bare-chested Harm scene. Also Harm looks mighty fine in his dress whites and well as stripping out of those dress whites!

- I'd give this one only a 4, but not because Harm isn't as fit and fine as in the others, but because the flash of his bare chest is too short. As far as the difference between his interaction, he always flirted with Kate. Even in Touch In Go when he was in a relationship with Renee, he was flirting with Kate. There were definitely sparks between those two characters. Though I always thought it was more lust than love, if there had never been a Mac character introduced, I'd have been okay with the flirty/sexy partnership Harm and Kate had, but not after Mac came into the picture. - I have a hard time rating between these clips . I mean let's face it anytime Harm doesn't have a shirt on it's a 5. I also really love the flirty exchanges that always happen between Kate and Harm because I suspect there were few women that were much of a challenge to him so when he found one he enjoyed it. However, I didn't love Kate enough to want to see her more than we did and I coundn't really see anything happening that was more serious between them regardless of whether or not Mac entered the picture. All of us fine boa-clad HarmyBroads know games to play with a bare Harm. . . .LOL! Our game today is not quite as blue as we can imagine, but hopefully will be fun and it compliments our "Bare Necessities" video clip discussion.

During much of the final two seasons, the Harm that we knew and loved was virtually nonexistent as the show plots took strange twists and turns. How much better those two seasons would have been if there had been a bare Harm scene! WOW!

So here's your chance to put a bare Harm in any of those episodes. Pick an episode from either Season 9 or Season 10 and alter the title to include "Bare Harm", "Naked Harm" or as we used to say on the board "Nekkid Harm". And give us a brief description of your new episode. To refresh your memory, the actual episode titles are listed below.

Remember the rallying cry we used to shout -- "we demand the right to a bare Harm!" So ladies, let's do it!

- I think it is archiving, but I see what you are saying about piling up. The large photos may be causing that. The archives may need to be "rebuilt" which is a pain. Harm prosecuting and Mac on defense - not a line-up we usually see. Sounds like they learned a few key phrases from each other! LOL

But this begs the question...
As often as Mac prosecuted and Harm defended, do you think they were good at those roles because that was their mindset going in? (i.e Mac more By-the-Book, Harm more "People first") *OR* Do you think that maybe they became more like their usual courtroom roles just from playing those roles so often?

Not that either was egregiously biased, but they did seem to lean to certain POVs which they also carried out in their lives outside the office.

This might be a "chicken or the egg" question, but it could be fun to hash it out!

- I think they were more comfortable in those roles because that's how their minds worked best. Harm was best when he was defending and Mac was at her best when she prosecuted. That's not to say they couldn't switch roles now and then. Kind of like they might do as a married couple. - I agree with those who've said that their personalities leaned in those directions already. The Admiral let them 'play' to their strengths when assigning cases, thus Mac prosecuted and Harm defended. I also think that's why they made such a good team when on the same side. Together they got a view from all angles and could temper justice with compassion based on the crime and the textbook punishment. This is the second of our video clip theme "The Bare Necessities", in which we will carefully study each of the bare-chested Harm scenes in the series. At the end of the theme, you will be asked to vote among the five scenes we will post for your favorite bare-chested Harm. So, ladies, examine each scene thoroughly!

Today we are starting a new video clip theme, called "The Bare Necessities", in which we will carefully study each of the bare-chested Harm scenes in the series. There will be five scenes posted over the next two weeks. However, so that you don't get bored by the constant sight of Harm's naked chest (LOL!), this theme will be more than just a discussion. At the end of the theme, all of you will be asked to vote for your favorite bare-chested Harm. So, ladies, examine each scene thoroughly!

Our bare-chested Harm scene from today is Season 1's "Scimitar". Harm and Meg are trying to smuggle a Marine accused of being a spy from an Iraqi prison with the help of Scimitar, an undercover operative. The clip is about 1 minute and 50 seconds.

In reading some of the comments in the "Kiss Me Harm" threads, I thought it might be interesting to do some comparison analysis....

Certainly the two most significant kisses between Harm & Mac are "Lifeline" and "FW&FS". They weren't thinking of someone else or just catching a peck under the mistletoe. These were serious kisses. Therefore...

What kind of Kiss is the "Lifeline" kiss, in light of the FW&FS kiss?

Was the LL kiss a "goodbye" kiss? Mac even says, "We're getting too good at saying goodbye."

Do you think they "held back" in the LL kiss because they weren't really "alone"? If they'd been alone would it have been different? We "know" what happened after the kiss in FW&FS ;-) ... would the same thing have happened in LL if they'd been in Harm or Mac's apartment?

What do you guys think?

- I think than : in "LL" it's a goodbyes kiss coming from desperation also than they couldn't stand/ wait anymore I think they ' held back ' a ' bit ' because they weren't ' alone '. So yes I think if they have been alone it would have been different. More ' hot '. I don't know why but I don't think than in ' LL' the same would have happened in H or M's apartment.Maybe because in the 1st case Harm seeing than he lost for good Mac and he's a gentleman. In 'FWFS' he knew than he had Mac for him for good this time, so happened what happened in his/her apartment. - The kiss in LL was hot, but for the wrong reasons. It was hot because it was unexpected and fordbidden in the sense that they were involved with other people and it was not the kind of kiss that either one of their SO's would have wanted to see.   - I forgot my comparison to FW&FS. In the finale, they were unattached and free to kiss until there heart's content, relaxed, not perfect, but loving and able to take it where ever it led them (bed, I'm sure). I think the second kiss was much more realistic in the sense, that the two of them had never 'made out' we each other before and they were in no hurry (aside from the 12 hour time limit) so there was no reason to rush into the steamy kisses until they were warmed up. Next week we will wrap this video clip theme "Kiss Me, Harm", in which we are discussing Harm's romantic kisses. After that, well, stay tuned for the next theme and get ready to drool!

Today's clip is part of the series finale, "Fair Winds and Following Seas". We tend to watch the last 7.5 minutes as one clip. But today's clip focuses on the kiss at McMurphys, which we haven't discussed as much as the passionate kisses at Harm's apartment (that clip is coming next week). IMO this entrance scene and this kiss at McMurphys says volumes about Harm and Mac's evolving relationship. Watch their body language and facial expressions. The clip is 40 seconds in length.

- I'm not sure how to describe this exchange of kisses. Maybe frantic would be an acceptable way of describing them. It was almost like they were trying to climb inside each other. I know that Harm said he didn't want to give up the Navy and made the assumption that Mac didn't want to give up the Corps (and yes she didn't correct him), but I'm not sure it wasn't more their mutual respect we were seeing rather than an unwillingness to give up their careers for each other. WOW! I was sitting at work bored and was randomly googling things. Somehow stumbled across something related to JAG and I was thinking back to my days posting on the boards. I googled "Harmy Board" and found myself back here. I am so surprised this board is still around!! :)

When I scrolled down I didn't recognize most of the posters here. It's been so long...I started posting at Maeve's back in the summer of '01...gosh, more than 10 years ago. Posted here at the Harmy Board quite a bit way back in the day.

So many names and memories came flooding back when I saw this board! Judi (the original RDOL), Cece, Cher, CatMom, Matou, Helene, Heather. Brigitte's collages. Luoodles!! (and her shipper songs). Dancer and Abby Normal. Shell and Crosby. Are any of you still here and lurking??? I was around during the Blue Angels and the yahoo group.

"Tiger, Tiger" vs. "Death Watch" -- The Chief, 08:46:31 09/07/11 Wed

Here's something I never thought of before....

"Tiger, Tiger" = Annie breaks up with Harm.
"Death Watch" = Harm goes after Diane's killer.

I hadn't really noticed before that these two eps follow each other back-to-back. All the times I've watched, I've not paid attention to that fact and just taken the two as separate episodes/stories.

But *IS* there a connection? I think a case can be made for one....

Why is Harm suddenly digging into that stack of letters saved from Diane's lock box? Could it be that he was feeling blue/depressed after Annie's departure and decided that re-reading letters from a woman who *didn't* want to leave him would make him feel better? Help him forget Annie? Add a shot or two of Bourbon and his keen lawyer's mind.... and next thing you know he's back on the case.

Diane didn't have the same fears as Annie - about getting involved with an aviator. She was a sailor, too, and she understood. Reading her letters was a "safe" place for Harm - he didn't have to worry about her dismissing him or his career choice. Her death took away that "understanding woman" that Harm probably didn't know he needed until after Annie left.

Would going after Diane's killer bring some closure for Harm? Would it help him feel vindicated or absolved for not being more understanding with Annie? Would it simply be a distraction to get his mind off Annie and back on his job?

What do you all think???

- So back to the shoes...Harm was shoe shopping throughout the series. He WANTS shoes. He tries on Kate, a comfortable pair of loafers, but the loafers are too casual. He tries on Annie, the wing tips, but they turn out to be too uptight and never seem to break themselves in. Jordan is a pair of Hushpuppies that just can't take the wear and tear of Harm's life. Renee is the cheapo, single season flip flops. Despite the opinions of my teen-aged daughters, flip flops are entirely unpractical. You can't run in them and most of the time, you can barely walk in them. They are good for showering in a public shower, and who spends life doing that? -- TH, 15:52:41 09/11/11 Sun
