Subject: Observations from episodes last week

I don't normally watch reruns of season 8-9-10 for obvious reason. However last week I did watch two episodes.
Coming Home - I remember when it first aired how different it was from other episodes. I never realized what the procedure was to return a fallen solider home and what the family goes through. It was very moving, and I cried the first time and again last week. The episode also had Harm tell Mattie what we all knew, how his not dealing with his father's death had in many ways hurt him. He was not able to let people into his life, to express his love for them. For all the reason you can name for the Mattie story line being wrong or bad, it did give Harm the opportunity to help someone else so they did not go through life as he had. He finally admitted his love for Mac. Even though we all knew it.
Hail and Fairwell part one - it was nice to see the interaction of the characters at the dinner, brought back old times. Harm and his love for Mac was there even though he didn't say it out loud it was there. Don't know how anyone could go through what Mac had been through and still stand, but she did and Harm was finally right there when he needed to be. Still don't like the cliff hanger but it is what it is.

Just a few observations, I am not one to discuss and dissect shows however those two episodes in the sea of "what were they thinking" seasons stand out as good episodes, in my humble opinion.
