Subject: Episode of the week

This week's episode is Dog Robber parts 1 & 2. They can be seen tonight on POP from 7-9 Central time, or on DVD, Season Seven disc 2.

Time line: first shown November 20 and 27, 2001, just after the attach of the twin towers in New York (9-11-01). That headline is a theme through out the episode. Especially in part one when Boone is called back to active service and Gunny requests a transfer to a combat unit.

Story lines:

Part 1 - Admiral Boone is called out of retirement to handle a diplomatic incident when a U.S. PC-3 Orion in the Taiwan Strait collides with a Chinese fighter jet and is then forced to make an emergency landing in China. Mac deals with two Naval Academy midshipmen who staged a duel.

Part 2 - When a Naval aviator, on his own initiative, destroys the captured PC-3 Orion with missiles fired from an F-18 Hornet, Harm has to keep the incident from sparking a conflict between the USA and China. Mac investigates a Marine commander at Marine Corps Combat Development Command who has been accused of sexism and discrimination of female marines.

What do you remember about the episodes? Images, lines, conversations? There were some great ones! Which do you thing was more interesting, the "A" story line with Harm and CAG or "B" story line with Mac.

dog robber as defined by Tom Boone "CAG": an officer's aide with the ability to get things done, usually off the record and under the radar.
