Julie - Hi there! I have my 49ers calendar up next to my fridge and I love it. Thanks again. Speaking of neat Niner accessories like license plates, I noticed a first-day cover issue of a 49er stamp put out by the Post Office. I think it came out in September. Do you have one already? If not, I'd be happy to get one for you.

Anthony!!! - Hi mate! Yes, I think it was Easterbrook who nominated Schulters as his MVP. Good column, eh? ;-) Like he says, best cheesecake of any sports column in the land!

TANK - I loved your "cockroach" response post. Took that baby and ran with it like a pro! On your last post, however, you made good points but I don't think I can agree with you about Garcia's "tailing off" like a typical back-up. That 4200-yard, 32 TD effort came during a 6-10 season when the team was behind most of the time and we were in catch-up wing-it mode. Last season, to me, was Garcia's "stratospheric" season, when he put up those numbers for a 12-4 team, albeit against a fair number of patsy opponents. Although he didn't have a "great" year last season -- a distressingly inconsistent campaign indeed -- by this point I think he's done enough in the league for long enough to raise himself way beyond being categorized with the likes of Bulger or Feeley.

Kevin - There you go, ripping remedial reading again. For shame.
