The 49ers showed incredible pose and heart. I for one was very impressed and ashamed that I even lost faith in my team. Like most, sometimes you have to be torn down to appreciate the little things on your reconstruction to the top. I have revisited and a renewed feeling for Jeff Garcia.
He played. He held himself together and just did the !@#$ thing.
=====
T.O. is the man cut & dry. I don't care what crass things he says or does... He's not representing me in the White House or dignifies my persona... He flat out balls and that's enough for me. He was the catalyst for this victory and he deserves all the accolades bestowed upon him and then some. The biggest impact receiver in the game.
=====
Julian Peterson has arrived and he seems to be taking no prisoners, I'm starting to get warm on him...
=====
Plummer was abused and misused all game. Armani Toomer embarrassed him thoroughly. Plummer is a good corner, he's not a shut down corner and this isn't he first time Toomer has put lace on his strap. Plummer is what he was at Ohio State; a good corner, period.
=====
John Keith is a gamer and I like him. He needs to be on the field, if health permits he should find himself playing next to Tony "The Beast" Parrish often. He is fluid and I've always felt his upside would yield production.
=====
The Beef upfront did not impress and actually only showed flashes of life. I'll never have anything bad to say about B.Y. so I won't mention him but the pressure in the middle was soft. The perimeter attack was mild and the second layer of defense (LBs) play was fair. Peterson in this game was the exception to the above.
=====
I'll sing this song one more time... Mike Rump is overwhelmed. He's slow and his read & react is not acceptable. (Jeremy Shockey an 'ol Miami Hurricane alum knew just that... he knew Rumph was the weak link in Miami and immediately found him on the field to continue punishing him like old times Sunday.) Rumph IMO is not suited to play corner in the NFL, he may be better positioned at Saftey.
=====
We desparately need to address the corner position EARLY in the draft.

I'm looking for the 9ers to advance to the NFC Championship Game... we'll need all of Kevin Barlow and everything T.O. and Streets got.
