I will be the first to admit I have been critical of Garcia this year and after this last game, especially the last 20 minutes, he came through big time and definitely gave 49erland alot to cheer about? Now I hope this is something he can build on and not disappear until next January. The last 20 minutes was very reminiscent of the Raider game this year. To all you who admire Garcia and get incensed that some 49er fans get very frustrated with Garcia, Mooch & the 49ers this year. Why doesn't Garcia play like this on at least a semi-consistent basis? He seems to do better when his back is against the wall and in desperate situations. Even Walsh said Garcia is at his best when he's spontaneous (hint Mooch & Knapp). A rested & healthy & dominant T.O. is enough to encourage anybody to play better.

Isn't the media somthing? Shockey can be an arrogant, low-class player and he's wonderful and just having fun and playing the game he loves, T.O. on the other hand can't even enter the stadium without being negatively criticized! Some of those Giant defenders love to dish it out but can't handle it when it gets served back to them. They were trying to take T.O. out every chance they had and T.O. would take it and bounce back up. T.O. gets a little agressive and they show they can't take it.

Atlanta in San Fran would be a treat, not a far fetched scenario. First things first, beat the Bucs! I think we'll need a better balance on the offense against the Bucs, run & pass with unpredictability! I think our defense can handle their offense. We can't afford any costly turnovers. Lets hope 2 big 49er stregnths, Garcia's good decison making and lack of 49er turnovers happen against the Bucs. I would almost be tempted to make Barlow the feature back and see what happens! Lets hope Webster can recover and play.

Did we incur any injuries against the Giants?
