guys, it is clear to me that jeff has been exposed by the rest of the nfl. His qb rating is only slightly above average, and has gone down the last two years. The only game in which i truly felt happy about his performance was the raider game. I thought it was truly telling that although he looked somewhat rob johnson-ish in the pocket, rattay's long td throw was a far better pass than garcia is capable of. Garcia does not have the arm strength to scare defenses. It is simple. Our offense's ypa stat is its lowest in almost twenty years. Garcia's attempt at long throws are feeble, wobbly ducks. Rattay, who by no means possesses a gun, threw a beautiful tight spiral, garcia's lack of arm strength makes it impossible for him to throw a pass more than twenty yards without it being a duck. The NFL has him figured out, its sad that are supposed talent gurus weren't smart enough to cash in on his inflated evaluation and instead signed him to a ridiculous contract which makes it almost impossible to go in a different direction. I pray McNown can somehow fulfill his promise. I saw him play in college, and he was special, he had plenty of arm, i remember him lofting deep passes all over the place with beautiful touch and accuracy, something garcia possess none of. It almost makes me sick to think how destructive owens could be if we had a daunte culpepper or a vick or anybody with a strong arm to guide this team. yes, garcia is a tough, dependable guy, but i even question his leadership, how many of his teammates can respect a guy who constantly misses throws and throws cheezy on-field temper tantrums.
