If the 49ers lose Monday night, we play the NY Giants in San Francisco. There is a slight chance that we play the Falcons. Who would you rather play? I kind of like Ron Stone and Scott Gragg versus their old team (and I would love to see Julian Peterson locked up on Jeremy Shockey), but I am not afraid of Atlanta.

I wouldn't mind going to Lambeau and beating the Green Bay Packers, either. I think I saw enough in the game earlier this season to suggest that we can beat them. The Packers defense is much easier to attack than the Eagles. Favre is the only challenge. I think the return of Bronson and Winborn changes the complexion of this matchup.

I really like Chad Pennington. Check out his presence in the pocket. I like his timing, too. His receivers aren't set up for crushing hits.

It was great to read that Winborn and Bronson were practicing this week. Neither will play, but this will be a good week to watch Josh Shaw emerge. John Engelberger...calling John Engelberger...are you in the room?
