As a footnote also remember that the 1997 season you refered to when Rice got hurt. Mooch openly adimitted that he was very careful that season regarding the passing game out of concern for Steve Young. They said one more concussion and his career was over, which in the end was correct. If he did not have Young's career to be concerned with, those figures could have been even more impressive.
