Just looking at purchasing our tickets for nationals and the price is mind blowing $65 each per day for individual days as we only need two days and then ceili tickets and a program is over $300 for just two and our dancers, then entry, travel costs and accommodation and this adds up to approx $4500 and that does not include food , etc for the week. Yes no doubt all the costs add up and not denying it’s an expensive sport for the kids to have. But what do you want AIDA to do? Venues are expensive, flights are expensive, musicians and adjudicators are expensive. Everything has gone up in price. We are really quick to whinge when we don’t have great facilities and local judges. If we want big commercial venues and overseas adjs. We have to be prepared to pay for it.
