Author: LMK if you need more advice.
Subject: More inside. Reporting authorities listed. Recommend independent authorities OUTSIDE of the CLRG/AIDA system
In reply to: ricki44 's message, "Has anyone here used channels outside of AIDA to report misconduct within an Irish dancing school? What type of evidence/documentation would be required for this. If anyone’s been down this road please reach out." on Wed, Nov 12 2025, 19:18:26"

For your own protection, the most important thing is to document facts, not feelings. In general, useful documentation includes:
✔ 1) Dates + timeline of incidents
✔ 2) Screenshots or written communications
✔ 3) Photos or doctor’s notes for safety concerns
✔ 4) Financial records (if relevant)
✔ 5) Witness statements (even informal)
Where to report (outside AIDA)
Depending on the issue, families have also contacted:
•Local child protection offices, if a child is endangered or emotionally abused•SafeSport offices or equivalent athletic bodies in their country•School’s Board/Committee (if applicable)•Venue insurance carrier when safety policies are ignored•Police if fraud, harassment, stalking, or assault is involved
There’s no obligation to start with AIDA if there is unethical or unsafe conduct involving minors.
