*~(All of this is taken in with a dull sort of bemusement. Her profile makes no move in either the direction of elation or the ways of anguish she had so often known. She had seen the mighty fall, the honest lie,the worst get better, but this was a cruel circle of events and it didn't appear to be healing in the least. It all started as a small affliction, growing and spiraling out of control into a hole that seemed nothing would be able to fill. She had enough of this weeping and woe.Rush had been able to thaw the vix's heart for the longest anyone had...but seeing him cry for another had frozen it back over faster than -160° temperatures would. She couldn't bring herself to watch this any longer. No one could withstand emotional pain like this, this formidable, this looming, this ominous,this...this...horrid.

Her audials heard the fall, but her mentality knew that Echo would bounce back as always, where as Death...Death would never again be the same.A daunting trail lay in from of her, uneartly beasts bade her leave. Now,as she stood, solid as a stone on angelic soil, she never felt more alone, more dejected, more like a serpentine, nefarious devil. For an instant her breathing was stilled,as if she would just curl up and wilt away on that very spot, dissolve into ash and blow away on the wind. And as all these things pulsated through her mind,a soft silv'n tear dropped onto the sand and was sucked away greedily in the parched desert. This was the epochal, momentous flash in the charcoal lady's life.She.did.not.belong.here.She spares one glance for Star, the loyal Queen's servant.Star was pleasant hearted with only pure intentions. Why couldn't Death be more like Star?

The amber pools had welled up long before now, ready to bust the emotional dam in a gush of forgotten feelings. But,alas, the hardened mare would have none of it,and pushed them back, refusing to give in.Her burnished black coat had known many scars, her lacklustre auburn eyes had seen much agony, but never before had she experienced true heartbreak for herself. This,my friends,is the epitome of misery, sweeping her away in it's throes,no mercy for the rejected little engima. While the russet and ebonite one was in euphoria, her pain was great, yet shechose to give it little regard. Her vision strayed to the crimson one known as Rushing the Dawn, fondly called Rush by many. Her regal head lowered, she approached the pair.

First she touched her velveteen muzzle to Echo's frothy diamond, silently wishing her all the strength to get well. Then she turned to Rush with tear-filled orbits. They swept over every inch of the reddened body that she loved with all her heart. Her very soul had been offered to this, and he did naught but take it,shred it joyfully, and hand it back in tattered bits and pieces.A small sigh was exhaled from her,the troubled princess. Her normally proud head was hung low in shameful defeat. She first ran her muzzle alongside his ruby hued shoulder, knowing this would be one of the last times she would see him,and taking in every tantalizing detail of him that was possible. Then her tender muzzle ran up the crease of his neck, nostrils gently whuffling in and out, storing his scent forever in her mind. The last thing she did was nuzzle his soft cheek lovingly, only one with the most intense case of passion could be so gentle. She whispered in his ear, meant for him only.

"Goodbye,Rushing the Dawn.I love you."

And with that,the wraith drew back,gave him one last look,and whirled,disappearing into the shadows,never to return,traveling with the wind,back to her origins,her roots,her belonging.)~*

((If you want to know where she's going,it'sbackto the Darks, aat Nukpana's territory.))
